- Comment on THIS is real. There is an app that allows you to text with Jesus 5 days ago:
25“Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? 26Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?g 28And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, 29yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. 33But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
34“Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
You’d think a JesusGPT would remember the Gospels better than the letters Paul wrote decades after he died having never met him.

I just paid $20 for a physical copy Counter Strike, and I find out I need to install an additional launcher and make an account to play the game I just installed. It’s the principle of the thing!

Probably just a random guy on the street. This is a snippet from a recurring newspaper column called The Inquiring Photographer. They’d have a question of the day and go around NYC and ask people and print their responses.

- Comment on NOW! 3 weeks ago:
i got one that somebody was giving away for free. It was in rough shape, but still usable. I used it a couple of times before closing it for the winter. When springtime came around and I was ready to grill again, I was surprised to find a nest full of eggs. We watched the babies hatch, grow up, and leave the nest. Now we just keep it as a bird nursery.

Methane in Earth’s atmosphere mostly come from cow farts.
Methane in other atmospheres, as far as we know, doesn’t come from alien cow farts.
There’s a bunch of stuff that’s made by life, but it can also be made by not-life.

- Comment on Americans Are Using PTO to Sleep, Not for Vacation—Report 1 month ago:
Yeah, we don’t have distinct PTO and vacation days. everything falls under PTO, which can be anywhere from 0 to 30 days a year. Most leaning more towards 0, while government jobs lean more towards 30.
Some employers may also offer a certain number of sick days, but of course you wouldn’t want to waste your sick days being sick. you want to hold onto those in case something happens. If you aren’t lucky enough to be graciously provided sick days, a lot of employers will just dock your PTO for the day if you need to call in sick. So again, wouldn’t want to waste your off time being sick.
- Comment on YouTube will restore channels banned for COVID and election misinformation 1 month ago:
I’m having a hard time believing that the Biden administration was some tyrannical anti-free speech censorship regime (can you imagine?). I remember the White House wanting a meeting with the social media platform owners at the time to discuss concerns of COVID misinformation that was literally killing people, and they didn’t say anything about being forced to until Trump won the election. This stinks of shitty lip service to the current administration.

Sure, but that’s not the dunk you think it is.
Another person being Ms. Rachel, who has continuously been targeted by the conservative media ecosystem extremist views like children in Gaza shouldn’t be killed.
Her “selective quoting” being Jesus’s statement that the most important commandment is to love your neighbor. Which he then goes on to refute a completely different verse.
Bringing nuance to the conversation is appreciated, but like a lot of Kirk’s shitty statements that have been popping up in the past week, the full context somehow makes it worse.
Those are the kinds of statements that embolden hate groups to take action, whether that’s knowingly enacting policy detrimental to targeted populations, or threats of violence or actual violence against the. What’s being celebrated is that he no longer has the means to spread his shitty messaging.

Yeah, but the heavy compounds and dumbbell exercises have made their way back into today’s standard bodybuilding training.
- Comment on Coming out of my depression and starting to exercise again because an evil tool just ate floor 2 months ago:
Powerlifting is a sport where participants compete to lift the most weight across the bench press, barbell back squat, and deadlift. The typical training regimen includes those exercises and similar secondary movement patterns. Machines have a place in isolating weak spots.
The type of gymgoer you’re referring to doesn’t really fit into a “category,” but “gym bro” is close enough.
- Comment on Coming out of my depression and starting to exercise again because an evil tool just ate floor 2 months ago:
What are you talking about? Powerlifters primarily do compound barbell movements, the ones that use the most stablizing muscles. Are you thinking of the people that only do isolation movements with machines?
Regardless, while it’s harmless silly fun, I’d the weight in those cables is light enough for him to be able to do a Fortnite dance, then it’s not really creating enough of a stimulus for strength gain or muscle growth.
