Had the opposite experience tbh. Dad was banned from teaching us driving because he was too strict
- Comment on Are Memoirs and Autobiographies partly fictional? How the f do people remember so much detail? 1 week ago:
My understanding is that a lot of memoirs are ghost written, so rarely actually authored by the person they are about. They interview people and then most likely invent detail to fill in the rest. That or they find actual photos of events or things and build out the detail that way. If you have a picture of an event and can see the decorations you can probably guess or imagine the smell. Likewise if family members have selfies or things like that you can fill in their outfits from there

Police involvement may help get him to back off, but be prepared for cops to ignore or minimize what she’s going through. Many cops are stalkers and abusers themselves. From personal experience having someone else to corroborate can help and also having extensive documentation can help get a PPI. I wish you the best of luck, its really not an easy situation and can escalate quickly.

I think mostly they just optimized load times in general, so the difference is a bit less stark

Solid state used to be basically required for Total War so the map loads would be quick. Still quicker but not as essential anymore

It hasn’t been the worst on my solo play through, mostly on a group one. There are a variety of issues that are workable, like how you will frequently start combats separated unless your group has the discipline of saints, or how one character will literally never be able to join combat because the terrain is impassable for him and him alone once initiative starts. These things we dealt with, but when combined with hours of lost progress from crashes and desyncs we threw in the towel

I liked this game a lot when I first started playing. Now in the back half of the game its just disappointing. Desyncs, crashes, and uneven balance all over the place. It has its charms but not something I would recommend anymore. Good to see they are on the right side of this though

It is a thing. The classic name is the hippie speedball. I would say it definitely feels different, but I have ADHD do stimulants might work different for me than others.

SIM Park was really good for that too
- Comment on Why there are a lot of people migrating from Windows to Linux these days? 4 months ago:
There are a few different factors. I think the most is that the lifecycle for windows 10 is ending. Microsoft is pushing the upgrade, but 11 has Recall which is essentially AI spyware. Many folks are trying to push Linux instead of upgrading when support is fully cut off
