I got about 10k replies to questions that are unread, do I need to mark them as read to free up space for LW? Or does it even help or hurt? If so why the read all button or something?

  Haven’t read the code so grain of salt and all that, but for most cases I would guess that the notification structure has a field for whether you have read it. In this case typically the memory is reserved the same, but the boolean marking read/unread will be toggled when you read it. It shouldn’t impact storage
