Better, plant it on the account if that co-worker you hate, and still works there, operated off a remote. Then he gets the blame.

I love the idea of sending an army of meth zombies after all the data centers. They’ll be trying to cut the fence in multiple places, simultaneously, all night, every night, making security and fence repair one of their highest, and most unexpected expenses.

All Trump is interested in is taking it over, and turning Cuba into one giant MAGA theme park for the wealthy, a Western Hemisphere Version of Dubai. He’s going to do the same thing in Gaza.

Oh, dude, I hear that. I’ve always told people that the secret to having a good relationship with your kids is: Love what your kids love, and your kids will love you.
So one day I was waiting in line at Chipotle, standing next to a table with a guy and his teen son, who was going on and on about an episode of Dragonball Z in intense detail, as his Dad looked like he wanted to die.
I went home and called my son, who knows my philosophy, and told him about seeing the guy and his son, and said “I have to give the guy credit for hanging in there, but if you had been a Pokemon or Anime kid…I would have had to cut you loose.”
He laughed, and said he would have deserved it.

They’ll attack Cuba, a massive flotilla of inner tubes, canoes, and rowboats will fill the waters, the administration will start shooting the refugees from the sky by the hundreds, and claim:
“President Trump is finally liberating the people of Cuba!”
- Comment on As adults, do you still watch kids’ cartoons, either old or new? 1 week ago:
I love good animation, so I keep up with the latest films, most of which are for kids, but that’s okay.
I also still love old Looney Tunes shorts.

My favorite is when we want someone to lower the window in the car, we still use the “rolling down” gesture from cars with hand cranked windows.
- Comment on Why does it feel like most art museums are for adults and most science museums are for kids? 1 week ago:
When I was a kid, I liked all sorts of museums, art, science, history, natural history, etc. As an adult, I still do, although I prefer Art Museums the most.

The same old “welfare queen” argument again.
- Comment on Young men are 'playing videogames all day' instead of getting jobs because they can mooch off of free healthcare, claims congressman 10 months ago:
I’m not concerned about some young videogamer getting free healthcare. I’m more concerned with the DOGE GOBLIN getting BILLIONS in government contracts to build rockets that blow up spectacularly, wasting a billion dollars with every explosion, just so he can quip “Just a scratch.”
That’s a billion dollar scratch that could have made a huge difference in thousands of lives.
I’m not worried about American citizens getting health care, I’m worried about Foreign Sociopathic Oligarchs getting BILLIONS in government contracts, paid for by taxes on the working class, while calling those same workers/taxpayers “parasites.”

I took up guitar during Covid and got obsessed. Now I am buying up beat up old guitars, cleaning, repairing, restringing them, and reselling them at a profit. It feels great to take an old guitar that may have been neglected for decades, and put it back in the hands of someone who will give it a new life.

- Comment on After Israel and USA's bombing, wouldn't any supposed nuclear bombs go off if there were any? 11 months ago:
Excellent response.
I’m just commenting to say that they’ve determined that there is no rise in radiation around the sites they struck, so either there was no radioactive material stored there, or they didn’t impact the sites as badly as they are claiming. If there was radioactive material, it remained contained. They may still have to rebuild their facilities, but they still have the most important element, the uranium.

Who the fuck cares what the Bible says? I’m under no obligation to live my life guided by fairy tales someone else believes in. If you want to be dumb enough to fall for that, be my guest, but don’t use it to justify immoral behavior.

This reminds me of the Zebra Mussels in Lake Erie. In the 80s and 90s, invasive Zebra Mussels got into Lake Erie, and started spreading quickly. They would cover the surfaces of everything. They were afraid that they would eventually clog up the water inlet that supply drinking water to the region.
There was a near panic among government leaders for several years, as the mussels grew out of control, and no solution could be found. They even announced a contest with a significant reward if anyone could come up with a solution, but nobody could. So the problem increased.
Lake Erie is the shallowest of the Great Lakes, so pollution and stuff tends to concentrate there, making it very murky, and impossible to see. But the stuff in the water was food to the Zebra Mussels, and the population kept filtering the water, feeding.
Eventually, the population reached a level that the water was clearing up, allowing the sun to penetrate deeper into the water. It turns out that Zebra Mussels don’t like the sun, and between that, and the decreasing amount of food in the water, their breeding slowed significantly. Now they seemed to have reached a good balance. They aren’t going away, but they aren’t the existential threat that they once were either.
The best news is that since the water is much clearer now, it has caused an increase in scuba diving. Being the shallowest of the Great Lakes, Erie has also known over the centuries as a bad lake to be on in a storm, and there are many shipwrecks on the bottom. They were hard to dive on in the old, dirty water days, but today those wrecks are visible, and attracting diving tourists.
So all they had to do was nothing, and the Zebra Mussels problem fixed itself, and caused a new business segment to boom.
