🤣 Canadians really are whiny losers. It’s ok boo boo, get you a bag of all dressed, you’ll feel better.

Hell, the US is all they talk about here on lemmy. I’m not sure they don’t want to join either.

The fact that there’s some of them hurtling through space, unrestrained by the common movements of the rest of the galaxy, is really something to think about.

Your link showed Obama receiving a maximum of 44% of the white vote. That is not a majority.
1964-present: …wordpress.com/…/white-voters-1964-2020/
Notice the shift…

By the numbers, the majority of whites continuously vote R. In fact, they haven’t voted majority D since, you guessed it, the civil rights act was signed. They are complicit and want these things. I’m not sure where this idea that they are being dragged about had come from, but they are actively choosing this every election cycle.

Well, of course, they’ve taught their children their shitty views and so on and so forth. I can’t even mic up with randos on a game without them hurling slurs in my direction.

Sure, sure, but in the US, they never forgave Johnson for the '68 civil rights act and managed to elect Republicans for 78% of the time from 1970-present.

You know, oddly enough, my old ass math deficient brain recognizes the explanation and its application, but not the name or expression. Props to my educators, I might not know all the details, but I can still utilize the principles.

I’m aware, that doesn’t mean I agree with it or support more money being siphoned from the working class to the elite.

Stanford is private with an endowment over $35 billion and charges $25 grand per semester for graduate programs. I’m not interested in my tax dollars funding a private college primarily for rich assholes.

Some places, like diners and cafes, do and you pay there with a cashier. But most bars and sit down restaurants have it inaccessible. As to why, I couldn’t say for sure, but I imagine it is to prevent theft of cash.
- Comment on [deleted] 2 weeks ago:
Sure, but you need to pay, and if all you have is a card, they’re not going to let you into an employee area because you’re being weird about a very basic interaction. In fact, that’s even more reason to not allow you into an employee area for their safety. When you’re in another country, you have to go with their flow, regardless of what you do at home.

I don’t believe you’d enjoy an interaction with our police…

Very true. Hopefully, he still enjoys reading today.
- Comment on Anon is Illiterate 3 weeks ago:
I had a coworker approach me on break and start telling me about a book he was reading and how much he was enjoying it. Towards the end, he mentioned struggling with it and that he wished someone had told him how great reading was earlier. We were both damn near 30, and it was a YA novel. I resisted the asshole urge to roast him because, shit, at least he’s trying?

Stop the geonicide by force if necessary. Send all the Europeans, Americans, and Canadians back home. Have trials, then hangings. Return all stolen land/property to the victims (or their descendants) of the colonizers. You know, post geonicide things.

Anybody who thinks that behavior is rude is a busy body snake and is best avoided, regardless.

With it being virtually impossible not to buy a “smart” TV, giving people the option to have connected software that doesn’t phone home is a great idea. I wish the average person was more aware of these types of options.
