Oh hi, Russ. I’m not your mate govnah.
If Sky were being honest in this headline they would say serial sex pest and known grifter Russel Brand. That’s what I’m fucking on about.
- Comment on Russell Brand latest: Comedian pleads not guilty to new charges 5 days ago:
That sex criminal hasn’t been comical in any form for decades, and personally I’d argue never was. Not that I expect anything from Sky, but they’re really diving deep in the muck to protect a notable sex pest this time. It’s almost like people shouldn’t be linking tabloid slop on here.
- Comment on Epstein arrests: 0. Nancy Guthrie: still missing. The head of the FBI: 5 days ago:
Exactly as intended by the administration. All governmental bodies will be made subservient to the great leader through installing purposely incompetent and bad faith loyalists and sycophants. This should not be a surprise at this point, it should fill us all with righteous anger.
- Comment on Xbox’s leadership shift proves it: the gamer era is over, AI runs the show now 1 week ago:
Thankfully, it’s not, not in any meaningful way. The source is a big indicator of how much you should trust the assertion being made.
Actual broad metrics show that gaming in general is currently the most profitable entertainment industry, and it’s not even close. So that’s good, MS is just assmad that they’ve very efficiently begun removing themselves from that industry at this point.

More wishcasting gigacope from window’s personal diary. The windows gaming era may be over, that’s the kernel of truth.

Well put all around, and in response to your final point, I’m really not sure. I want to say this is the value of public education, but I don’t recall a terribly strong effort to educate people in common sense and media literacy so as to not be manipulated so easily, and end up voting against our own best interests back when I was in the system. Still, I had access to better education than most young people do today.
I think that lackluster regulation of media really is failing us too, since any billionaire can just buy up a large organization and dictate what it will and will not report on, and how it aims to persuade people in out society. All of this requires rooting out apathy and corruption in our governing public servants, and strengthening regulation, and every day I see more of the exact opposite of that. It’s hard to tell what the endpoint is that’s going to force a turn-around, if such a thing even exists beyond a systemic collapse that strips the power to manipulate the systems of governance from the ultra-rich.
Generally that means terrible suffering for all, and I’d much rather see a better path, like, oh I don’t know, massive taxation of enormous and excessive private wealth. Until I see politicians willing to take meaningful actions to resist and confront oligarchy, and a general public developing more self-awareness, I’ll continue to believe that outcome seems like a pipe dream.
- Comment on Ubisoft Closes Canadian Studio After It Unionizes 1 month ago:
If the Canadian government were real it would exact punishing fines on the company’s Canadian held assets in response to this. And I don’t mean cost of business fees, I mean hurtful costs, because these giant fucking companies seriously damage Canadian lives when they just rugpull the labour after making massive profits of Canadian operations. There is no justifiable reason to side with Ubisoft or their scumsucking management here.

Look I KNOW the point of it, stated and unstated, laregly it’s a mechanic to avoid liability in, well liable; It’s sold to us as some convenient buddy to make our lives easier, I’m not new, I’m just cynically rejecting it. It would be just as easy for the makers to include in the contract that your own consequential fuckups are exclusively yours and using the app assumes that condition. I turned it off wherever applicable long ago and never looked back. I am also the type to review my message before hitting send to see if I made mistakes and correct them manually anyway. I think it’s better to stay mindful than to get complacent and just let the app pilot your conversations, it really gives that added authenticity to the swearing too ;].
- Comment on LEARN YOU PIECE OF SHIT 3 months ago:
I decide where my fucks belong, not my app. We can talk about implicit bias here because I just don’t trust giant corporations anymore, but the app telling me I didn’t mean what I did, whether we want to assert innocence and good will on behalf of the designer, is still censorious. That’s my point.
- Comment on LEARN YOU PIECE OF SHIT 4 months ago:
It’s intentional, and it’s censorship. Someone ought to make a comms app with inbuilt autocorrect that does the opposite and makes all your typos offensive instead.

- Comment on Hollow Knight: Silksong Sparks Debate About Difficulty and Boss Runbacks 5 months ago:
Absolutely, it’s important to know what you like and want. Hell, lots of people work off vibes and go through phases where certain game types stimulate them, then fall off of those. Like MMOs and online FPS used to be my main thing, now I stick to single player story driven games. I’m not about to go loudly pout about how Stellaris doesn’t work for me and should be changed to appeal specifically to my wants, too busy with other games (and life).
- Comment on Hollow Knight: Silksong Sparks Debate About Difficulty and Boss Runbacks 5 months ago:
If you’re not able to commit to learning new strategies and using game mechanics to adapt to a game’s difficulty, and experience it as the developers intended, maybe it’s not for you. You can always watch a lore video or let’s play by other gamers to get the story if that’s the goal. This is Dark Souls 2 all over again, and I will personally say as someone who initially hated it, then gave it another chance; When you persist and triumph through grit, the game leaves a lasting impression and sense of accomplishment that you cheat yourself out of with a difficulty slider. That’s my favorite game in the series now, which is a deeply unpopular opinion, unsurprisingly.

This is the actual answer, cutting right through the smoke and mirrors and bullshit. Anyone who had the displeasure of reading through the flight logs that were available in their entirety online almost a year ago and probably still are: saw just what names pop up, often multiple times. This is the most bipartisan issue there ever was, so NOBODY in power wants to touch it.

- Comment on Monster Hunter Wilds game reviews hit "Overwhelmingly Negative" on Steam — can Capcom turn it around? 8 months ago:
They think it literally does not matter, and sales kinda reinforce this. The game was an enormous hit on release, but I think it gradually eats away at the faith of the customers as their experience falls to shit in the endgame were the rushed development is glaringly obvious. That’s gotta add up and will eventually have an impact cause they sure as shit aren’t learning the right lessons. Always remember the best outcome for the top deciders is the quickest biggest buck, and they will throw ANYTHING under the bus that challenges that. Especially thoughtful and rich game design which takes time and love to produce right.

Man I love to see that abusive Owl grovel. I also did this, good on you OP, may they see a consequence for threatening something good for the sake of greed. Eventually nothing is enough for the managers and they burn the whole thing down because of their personal addiction. This harms lives. We need to jail CEOs abusing power this way, that’s the actual remedy.
- Comment on Kid gave a reasonable answer without all the math bullshit 8 months ago:
My point is the question is terrible, and one might as well answer however they like. It’s a basic logic test dressed up in fractions, the only answer is one pizza is bigger, but that’s apparently wrong, so you HAVE to be creative in describing how to solve the logical problem. Does this help you?
