- Comment on Forza Horizon 6's Japan map is the series' best yet 4 weeks ago:
Yeah, I think I got every weekly for the first two years and lots of times I never even drove the reward cars lol.
Good luck with 6, while I’m sure it’ll be great I am just not ready for another horizon.
- Comment on Shart of The Deal 4 weeks ago:
Same as all of us. Basically Larry David but somehow better than the actual man.

I am one of the OG hydro homies and it legit changed my life drinking more water. Skin cleared up (acne wasn’t terrible, but there was almost always some blemish), lost weight (less soda, less hunger in general), reduced stomach issues (helped with getting regular and not binging, just better general gut feeling), no more UTI’s.
I also get to pee like 4 times throughout the day at work which just helps break up the day.
- Comment on Forza Horizon 6's Japan map is the series' best yet 4 weeks ago:
I played the fuck outta the last two, but they were basically the same game. From what I’ve seen, not a lot has changed. There’s other driving games out there doing new things, so I have no incentive to start playing horizon 6.
The weekly challenges started feeling more like a chore than a fun experience, and the more or less required multiplayer races were usually awful. It would almost always be me and one other decent racer and the other 4 guys were garbage, you could lose the series even getting first in all the races because your team sucked so hard. I would often take an early lead then use my car to block the CPU cars, then after my teammates all got a solid lead I’d start racing again and usually get back into first. - Comment on "You Were Supposed to Feel Lost": Metal Gear Solid 2 and the Shock of Playing as Raiden 4 weeks ago:
I played through the mgs2 demo like 20 times, I knew every detail of that boat. The swap to Raiden was jarring and he just generally wasn’t quite as likeable or cool as snake. Game was still cool as heck and fun though.

- Comment on Double Dragon And River City Creator Yoshihisa Kishimoto Has Passed Away 4 weeks ago:
It’s kinda similar to the indie scene now, small teams or even solo devs can make things of a smaller scope and can try something totally new or innovate on an old idea in a way AAA games just can’t.
- Comment on Double Dragon And River City Creator Yoshihisa Kishimoto Has Passed Away 4 weeks ago:
Played it, was pretty good but it’s no river city ransom ex.
They’re actually still making kunio games, but they’re hella overpriced and not as good as river city girls
- Comment on "Any update is a bonus not a right": Peak co-developer Landfall reminds impatient fans it's not a live-service studio 5 weeks ago:
I bought it for like $5 and got like 30 hours of co-op with my buddies. Games at the arcade cost that much for a few minutes and aren’t nearly as fun as watching your friend fall to their death or get chased by the rapey as scoutmaster.
Anybody complaining is a fool.

Better to have an understanding and strong opinion than to just consume whatever the massive ethicless tech giant shovels into the trough.
I won’t use it because it looks like shit, but to each their own.

It might with HD mods and ray tracing.
- Comment on Fewer People Playing Fortnite Is Just One of Epic's Many Problems, Analysts Say 5 weeks ago:
He’s addicted to fortnight and is trying to argue there’s plenty of other games, he’s even played some. Unfortunately too much fortnight has left him unable to form proper thoughts and structure sentences.
Listen guys fortnight may be fun but we’ve hit the point in capitalism where we all need to hold hands and shit on publishers who are making these cash grab games. They all need to fail so there’s less big money in the industry and we stop seeing them do this layoff shit and good devs can get back to making games instead of making Darth Vader dance with OJ Simpson.
- Comment on CW: Picture of a severe vaccine injury, NSFL 1 month ago:
I honestly believe the education system is more to blame than anything besides the anti vax people themselves. There’s so much nonsense pseudoscience posted online by uninformed and grifters, then their cult of stupidity fills the holes with comments that reinforce the legitimacy of their quackery. Even reasonable people get sucked down the rabbit hole.
When my son was born my wife had been fed this bullshit and suggested delaying vaccination. I sat her down and was able to address her concerns and get her to understand the science and statistics so he stayed in the doctor’s recommended schedule but not everybody is going to have a spouse who cash reel then back in.

Listen pal, nobody is going to sift through a dozen research articles you dump without any citation.
But just a cursory scan of the first article says .78/1000000 cases have the mentioned side effect and 1.2/1000000 have the other side effect. COVID mortality rate is something like 350x higher lol.

There’s already more amazing games than you or I could possibly play in a lifetime. If they only make shitty games, I’ll just play old games. I’ve been gaming on a retro handheld and honestly there’s so many amazing games I missed.
Indy devs are also killing it in the multiplayer space with silly and charming co-op experiences. I played a lot of Peak and Motor Town with friends lately and both are just so fun.
- Comment on 1 month ago:
Guess it’s just personal preference. I’m generally gaming on the train ride into work so I’ve got a solid 30 minute block to play and have space in my bag for a larger device. I’m also not usually looking to tinker with devices much post initial setup but can understand why someone would enjoy doing so. Thanks for answering, glhf.
- Comment on 1 month ago:
I love a good handheld but am struggling to wrap my brain around when this device would be desirable to use or have around. I can’t think of a time I wouldn’t prefer something the size of an r36s especially with it’s far larger library of games.
- Comment on Sony is testing dynamic pricing: one game - different prices on the PlayStation Store 1 month ago:
It absolutely will be used in the most shitty predatory way. They’re not going to simply delete the data and most digital marketplaces are excited at the prospect of dynamic pricing.

- Comment on Xbox’s leadership shift proves it: the gamer era is over, AI runs the show now 2 months ago:
Would it even matter to a FIFA player though? The game’s mechanics are not that different from generation to generation and I think AI could decently simulate player stats and likeness. They’ll probably lap the slop up and ask for more.
- Comment on ‘I think the franchise is dead’: Saints Row design director says IP owner ‘ghosted’ his prequel pitch | VGC 2 months ago:
Three was enjoyable, definitely had some shit moments but overall a fun game with absurd over the top moments left and right. Four on the other hand felt like it should’ve been a dlc for three, and was pretty awful.
- Comment on Consumerism ahhhhh moment 2 months ago:
Sorry dude, you’re on lemmy. Nobody is here because it’s the easiest or best. Most of us are here because we’re the types who don’t like getting fucked over. I wholeheartedly agree that ads in and of themselves are annoying and fucking detest those Quiznos commercials but we’re the “weird” ones here. Most people loved those ads and Quiznos sold a ton of crappy sandwiches. Sadly advertising works on most people.
- Comment on Video game romances need to evolve beyond lore dumps 2 months ago:
There’s genres of games that are supposed to be relationship sims and nothing else. The relationships and characters are still hollow and would only draw in the loneliest people.
- Comment on The Wheel That Went to Court (or, did you know Pixar sued DMA Design - who ended up becoming Rockstar North - because they made a game about a unicycle? 2 months ago:
Agreed, I played it on my retro handheld a couple weeks ago and it still holds up alright. They manage to convey a lot of emotion through those little unicycles.

Often when I’m stoned I enter the flow state easier. I can also get way more into my own head and not be able to get into the flow at all.
- Comment on Start-up idea 2 months ago:
This is true for some products but absolutely the opposite for many others. You can go buy a $500 jacket that will outlive you but good luck finding a car or fridge that won’t break, especially the high end models with all the bells and whistles. Samsung will happily sell you a $5k fridge that has dozens of features that will break and require servicing far more frequently than the $500 white apartment fridge.
- Comment on The developers of PEAK, explaining how they decided on pricing for their game. 2 months ago:
Yeah, I’m with you. There’s tons of games I’ve paid a lot more than $16 for that I would absolutely tell past me to buy again instantly. Most recently Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. $40 with all dlc and I’m over 100 hours in, enjoying every minute. Over 100 hours of entertainment from something that cost me less than an hour of labor, in what world is that not worth it?
