Yes, some games actually have the data to install the game.

I live in the Seattle area and while this stuff isn’t free it’s under $10 to park and ride both ways. Trains run every 7 minutes and the train will take you maybe five minutes extra if there’s no traffic. If you’re coming or going from the stadiums it’s faster and cheaper than driving to one of the lots close to them. Trains are pretty clean too, it’s a pretty great rail line

I played for about 5 hours and was totally bored, the whole game is just the endgame.
- Comment on Video Game Websites in the early 00s 6 days ago:
Just look at those sites, they’re hard to navigate, there’s no consistency between them, where are the ads?
I’d still gladly have them over the bland, hard to navigate, soulless crap we get now.
- Comment on How does Chuck Schumer still have a job? 1 week ago:
Yet here we are, with some people believing vaccines cause autism and the far right extremists to boot. I personally would’ve taken more idiots harming themselves with their new age junk than what we got.
Don’t misunderstand, I agree it absolutely wouldn’t have been a catch all and even in its time it lacked the teeth to do much but at least it was something. It combined with a stronger education system could’ve prevented a lot of what we’re dealing with now.
- Comment on What's it going to take to truly stop the US? 1 week ago:
As an American this is very close to my take. This leadership is weak, they’ve divided the country in a way in which it will likely never recover from. Global opinions of the US are in the dumpster and it would take decades of goodwill to even begin to shift opinions that the USA is actually “good” again.
The sad reality is this country will never recover to being what it was. I honestly feel like we’d be better off just saying “fuck off, do your own thing then” to the southern portion of the states, but then you’d likely have a nuclear armed failed state within a couple of decades and the evangelicals among them would probably welcome a nuclear Holocaust because they believe they’ll be raptured away.

It’s not a silver bullet, but it was a very useful way to ensure people didn’t become radicalized by just listening to one side lie constantly. There’s a reason why Reagan and Nixon wanted it gone, and we’re living through the repercussions of not having it now; radicalized far right extremists everywhere and in control of the government. Also, we could have made updates to expand it or introduce new legislation to curb extremism on other platforms.
Definitely far from perfect but better than our current reality.

Yup.
- Comment on How to get greasy spots out of wooden cutting board properly? 1 week ago:
Mineral oil is definitely safe, just try not to inhale misted particles in large amounts regularly. Pouring some on your cutting board and rubbing it in should be totally safe.

But what if I miss that one meme and the internet culture leaves me behind? How can I be in on all the inside jokes and references of I’m ever offline??
- Comment on Social media, not gaming, tied to rising attention problems in teens, new study finds 2 weeks ago:
Video games require you to listen to instructions, execute inputs, and follow tasks to completion to get a reward. Tiktok is basically swipe, watch for a few seconds, next hit; 85% of the clips will be shit but that 15% makes our monkey brain happy so we swipe again and suddenly an hour is gone and you’ve gained nothing but a shorter attention span.
- Comment on Do you preorder games? 2 weeks ago:
I can’t specifically remember what games, but this definitely happened to me at toys r us several times. Back in the physical copy days you had to pre-order big releases most of the time and the pre-order was usually held but they often oversold because the distributor didn’t send all the copies they’d ordered.

That article is wild to me. I consider myself a super taster and smeller. The list of foods super taster’s avoid is basically a list of my favorite flavors. Maybe I’m just a slightly above average taster?

Correct. My wife loves that show lol

I found the game to be pretty shit. It’s like fallout, but just the boring looting trash and constantly balancing inventory part, but with the added fun of people multiple times your level one shotting you.
5 hours in and I’ve got no desire to play it anymore.

Hilariously there was minor backlash about this, they sent out silicone hot pocket holders as a gesture of goodwill if you requested it.

It’s a myth that all the boomers got theirs. Don’t get me wrong, our deal is absolutely worse, but the rich have been fucking people for profit as long as there’s been rich people.

Don’t even bother with that guy. He’s so right, that you said things you didn’t. He knows you better than you know yourself. Goal posts moving so far they need a new zip code.

The older generations have almost certainly doomed humanity. We need sweeping environmental reform, a better education system, and to have something to combat rampant consumerism.
You don’t need a new car every five years. Your phone’s fine. Will festive mugs you use once a year really make your life better?

As a person who loves learning and building new skills, I find this absolutely abhorrent. If you never do anything challenging or difficult, you’ll eventually be so far out of the skill curve that you’ll lack the base skills necessary to develop more complex skills. These people are on their way to a combined Idiocracy/Wall-E future and I hate that they’re dragging the rest of us down with them.
- Comment on bmw 4 months ago:
Because BMW signals are different. Tiny tap gets you three blinks and goes off (more standard now). Pushing a direction turns them on, and unlike other cars you push the same direction again to disengage. This way you never accidentally push too far and do the opposite signal.
I definitely prefer the BMW signal to any other vehicles I’ve driven, but as a BMW driver I’ve learned that when you signal people will aggressively close gaps. I still signal but take the space almost instantly because I know 90% of drivers will try to block me out.

- Comment on Should I unplug my smart tv from the internet? 5 months ago:
I’ve got 20/10 vision and the difference is so negligible as to not really matter after 1080. Especially because all the smoothing and image effects new TVs have are so horrendously bad that they make me feel sick.
I still run an 8 year old LG TV that stopped getting updates 4 years ago and doesn’t even attempt to connect to the internet. It’s great because it just turns on and works.

You’d be surprised how many “premium” earbuds sound like shit and how many cheap ones sound decent. My $100 pixel buds hardly sound better than my $10 mpow, plus the mpow has physical buttons, a better mic, and gets better battery life.

What? I don’t see an Aeropress anywhere 😋
- Comment on I just dont seem to ever learn 5 months ago:
An Aeropress is almost certainly less expensive and makes better coffee. No moving parts to break either. Granted it’s more involved, the ritual is part of a cup of coffee.
