That article is wild to me. I consider myself a super taster and smeller. The list of foods super taster’s avoid is basically a list of my favorite flavors. Maybe I’m just a slightly above average taster?
- Comment on Some people prefer corn for some ungodly reason 2 days ago:
Correct. My wife loves that show lol

I found the game to be pretty shit. It’s like fallout, but just the boring looting trash and constantly balancing inventory part, but with the added fun of people multiple times your level one shotting you.
5 hours in and I’ve got no desire to play it anymore.
- Comment on Cheapflation: The Kroger brand "shake and bake" seasoning no longer comes with the bag to shake it in 😠 2 weeks ago:
Hilariously there was minor backlash about this, they sent out silicone hot pocket holders as a gesture of goodwill if you requested it.

It’s a myth that all the boomers got theirs. Don’t get me wrong, our deal is absolutely worse, but the rich have been fucking people for profit as long as there’s been rich people.

Don’t even bother with that guy. He’s so right, that you said things you didn’t. He knows you better than you know yourself. Goal posts moving so far they need a new zip code.

The older generations have almost certainly doomed humanity. We need sweeping environmental reform, a better education system, and to have something to combat rampant consumerism.
You don’t need a new car every five years. Your phone’s fine. Will festive mugs you use once a year really make your life better?
- Comment on [deleted] 1 month ago:
As I get older I continuously get more mad at the older generations.

Sorry to tell you this, but your mouth is fucking broken.

Yup, it’s even what they use in their displays because they sparkle more than a diamond.

As a person who loves learning and building new skills, I find this absolutely abhorrent. If you never do anything challenging or difficult, you’ll eventually be so far out of the skill curve that you’ll lack the base skills necessary to develop more complex skills. These people are on their way to a combined Idiocracy/Wall-E future and I hate that they’re dragging the rest of us down with them.
- Comment on bmw 3 months ago:
Because BMW signals are different. Tiny tap gets you three blinks and goes off (more standard now). Pushing a direction turns them on, and unlike other cars you push the same direction again to disengage. This way you never accidentally push too far and do the opposite signal.
I definitely prefer the BMW signal to any other vehicles I’ve driven, but as a BMW driver I’ve learned that when you signal people will aggressively close gaps. I still signal but take the space almost instantly because I know 90% of drivers will try to block me out.

I knew we’d lost the Internet when they started shitting on people who corrected spelling and grammar. Sure, let’s all just agree to remain ignorant.
- Comment on Should I unplug my smart tv from the internet? 4 months ago:
I’ve got 20/10 vision and the difference is so negligible as to not really matter after 1080. Especially because all the smoothing and image effects new TVs have are so horrendously bad that they make me feel sick.
I still run an 8 year old LG TV that stopped getting updates 4 years ago and doesn’t even attempt to connect to the internet. It’s great because it just turns on and works.

You’d be surprised how many “premium” earbuds sound like shit and how many cheap ones sound decent. My $100 pixel buds hardly sound better than my $10 mpow, plus the mpow has physical buttons, a better mic, and gets better battery life.

When it comes to machines the Moccamaster is definitely top tier, especially when you’re moving up from a Mr coffee like we had when I was young lol.

What? I don’t see an Aeropress anywhere 😋
- Comment on I just dont seem to ever learn 4 months ago:
An Aeropress is almost certainly less expensive and makes better coffee. No moving parts to break either. Granted it’s more involved, the ritual is part of a cup of coffee.

- Comment on Take a deep breath and think about it 5 months ago:
Yeah, always seemed so wrong that so many people just stagnate. Like they reach some imaginary milestone and just stop improving and float through life. There’s room to improve almost everything in life, why the heck would you settle?
- Comment on Anon likes a thing 5 months ago:
It wasn’t a bad movie, the characters were just incredibly forgettable. Rogue One was a good standalone movie, but it was kinda bittersweet because they stole part of Kyle Katarn’s backstory and he was always one of my favorite characters.
- Comment on Anon likes a thing 5 months ago:
Yup. Was a huge fan of the EU books and lore. Wanted to give Disney a chance, so I saw the first few movies. It was like seeing your ex at the club but she’d gone through massive amounts of plastic surgery and they’d removed all the unique features that attracted you originally. Haven’t watched anything Star Wars since the second movie in the new trilogy, literally 0 desire to see the conclusion or any new Star wars content.

I set low initial expectations at my job, automated and simplified nearly every task. I work less than 20 hours a week on average. I have time for basically all my hobbies and get to spend tons of time with my kid and wife. It may be a grey cubicle and annoying but it pays well and i can get fulfillment elsewhere. Feel like anybody trying to get fulfilling experiences from work is looking at the picture upside down
- Comment on Why do some people hate drinking water? 6 months ago:
Get a filter for your tap water, then get the water cold. Both will reduce the flavor of the water, leaving you with crisp, neutral flavored water. If that doesn’t do it for you, look into an at home carbonation system, there’s guides for making your own if you don’t wanna do premade.
- Comment on No Kings Protest, USA, 2025 6 months ago:
Absolutely. It shows just how many people are awake and ready to do something. If that many people participated in a general strike the country would buckle to demands real fast.
- Comment on The Outer Worlds 2 - Official Story Trailer | Xbox Games Showcase 2025 6 months ago:
Yup, this is why the $80 price tag doesn’t bother me. I’ve got a backlog of games I want to play that I probably already can’t finish in my lifetime. This will be $20 a year post release and in two years that $20 will get you all the dlc as well.
- Comment on The Outer Worlds 2 - Official Story Trailer | Xbox Games Showcase 2025 6 months ago:
Games at that time were cutting edge technology, distribution networks didn’t exist, physical units had to make it to stores, etc. The environment isn’t the same. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think $80 is terribly outrageous in our modern economy but at that price point it has better provide 60+ hours of entertainment. If outer worlds 2 is as good as #1 it’s worth $40 tops. I played that game end to end and can’t recall a single characters name.
