- Comment on We can't keep making videogame stories for players who aren't paying attention to them 1 week ago:
Games with complicated or involved stories just need to go back to having a comprehensive log or journal. That used to be a staple of big games, to the point where it could take you days to read all the lore and journal entires. That might not be fully ideal for those adult gamers either but theres definitely a comfortable middle ground where your active missions page has a little brief for each objective telling you who gave the quest, what they wanted and why. Lots of games these days can have like 20 active quest markers and give you no information about any of them beyond some random npc you talked to once wants 10 of something for some reason.
- Comment on How much does storage speed affect your games? 1 week ago:
I expected a much bigger hit to performance when i got a 1TB sd card for my steamdeck and initially only was putting small indie games on there, but after gradually moving up to higher performance games and not really noticing a hit, i just throw everything on there now. I think most games these days are more limited by other factors than storage speed.
- Comment on Why some games on Linux, SteamOS / Steam Deck have broken videos and what you can do 2 weeks ago:
Also i think there may have been a couple games ive tried where proton-GE didnt automatically fix this. In that case, use winetricks and install the full video codec package. A combination of those two things have solved this issue with every game ive tried.
- Comment on A dedicated section in my Steam library 3 weeks ago:
I played quite a bit on the steamdeck with no issues at all. Actually i think i maybe had to upgrade to the latest proton-ge and/or install the video codecs package in winetricks (think i did both at the same time so not sure what fixed it) when i first installed it, but once it was running it worked perfectly fine for the 15 hours or so that ive plqyed so far.

I assume you mean it shouldnt be done with deception? Which yeah i agree with and wasnt suggested in the original post. His sign just says put birth control in meth, it doesnt say hide it. Also do you understand that birth control is temporary and is not the same as sterilization?
- Comment on Iron 3 weeks ago:
This is not eugenics and wouldn’t be permanent. People shouldn’t be having unplanned pregnancies while addicted to hard drugs. If you cant stop using meth long enough to conceive then how are you gonna stop uaing meth during the pregnancy? Or once the baby is born? I have no problem with drug use and think it should be legalized but i think this would be a good concession to make if it were legalized. If you wanna have a baby just stop using meth. Otherwise go nuts.
- Comment on Piss Post 4 weeks ago:
Is that an autistic thing? That makes sense. I always try to tune the piss stream with a combination of position in the center of the bowl and stream strength. Both affect the sound and i can dial ut in or adjust it to be pretty pleasing sounding (to myself). Its also extremely satisfying to be in the nuddle of a nicesl strong sounding stream and let out a nice percussive accentuating fart. If its a long one i can eve dial it in to harmonize with the piss stream sometimes.

It conditions them into believing that there are powerful and mysterious forces at work in the world that can’t be explained but must be taken on faith. If they get into the habit of looking for answers to questions, they might start asking other inconvenient questions. My sunday school teacher had a similar spiel about how god was like the wind, we couldnt see or touch him but we could see the effects of his actions.

Oh hell yeah, we should bring this back. Give me a nice little cortage, some space to grow weed and mushrooms, and a nice big forest to run around in consequence free and ill totally be your Radagast the brown running around the woods. They say if you can catch a glimpse of me, however fleeting, its good luck for your visitors.
- Comment on Where are all the successful "red cities"? 5 weeks ago:
To people from small towns, everyone in a city is ‘wealthy’, they must be to afford the insane cost of living right? But thats part of the problem. They don’t realize the people spending $2500 a month on rent are spending 80% of their paycheck, or that they can’t build any savings or eger hope to own a house or even a car because of it. They make no distinction between the actual rich people who live in cities and everyone else, and the state of America right now IS them fighting back against the ‘rich’. Until these people understand the orders of magnitude the people actually fucking us are over the rest of us i don’t know what can be done. To them anyone with a college degree is a wealthy elite.

You could probably do it with a vape from the gas station… theyre basically just mini fog machines with nicotine added.

Use noscript and whitelist urls as needed. Pages that dont need javascript dont get to use it, and for pages that do need it, you can make sure it only runs exactly what it needs to.

- Comment on Microsoft has never been good at running game studios, which is a problem when it owns them all 1 month ago:
I mean sure but just like with movies, the rights dont change hands very often, even if they’re not being actively used or the rights holder goes out of business. This means a ton of promising franchises either suffer by getting terrible sequels or no sequels at all.

- Comment on What's going on with Borderlands 2? Steam is giving it for free, but the game has 23% positive recent reviews. 2 months ago:
What point are you trying to make? You say you’re “all for calling this kind of fuckery out” but then you’re criticizing people for calling it out? And who cares what other EULAs might say? The point is that the license agreement for this game and others owned by this company didn’t say this shit before, and now they do. The company is actively making their user agreement more hostile to the users which is what people are pissed about.
