Well that truck IS their gender affirming care 😂😭
- Comment on Your Truck is Stupid Big 6 days ago:
Best truck I ever worked out of was a long box regular cab s10 lol. Drop the tail gate down and u only have to lift crap somewhere between your knees and hips to load it, these big short bed trucks I have to hoist stuff up about chest high to load it then I’m out of room in no time because the beds like 4 feet long LOL. Usually those big trucks are for towing stuff and putting a couple pack outs in the trunk (bed would be too generous). Quite frankly if u don’t need a goose neck a 2500 van is probably the ticket, can tow about the same as a 2500 truck but u have a useful covered cargo area that’s easy to load and more secure.
- Comment on Your Truck is Stupid Big 6 days ago:
Not to mention a lot of these new trucks of that stature have WORSE visibility than a semi truck! You could run over a group of children in a cross walk and have no idea 😳 it is honestly surprising there’s not more licencing for driving a vehicle larger than x size. Hell any moron with a regular driver’s licence can get behind the wheel of a RV that’s 40 feet long, and one fuck up in a vehicle that weighs that much can cause a LOT of damage.
- Comment on Your Truck is Stupid Big 6 days ago:
Fair enough. There isn’t much more frustrating than going to the regional transfer station in my little 5 speed hatch back and throwing out a load of trash every bit as large as the 3/4 ton big boy toy next to me LOL. For what it’s worth at least in my state anything over 10k lbs has a significantly higher annual tax rate and their paying for their stupidity with 6$ a gal diesel rn. I just felt as though some were bashing trucks like these for existing as if there isn’t legitimate use cases for them, although if I had to hazzard a guess maybe 1/3 of units sold actually get used for anything a civic couldn’t fulfil and thsts probably being generous.
- Comment on Your Truck is Stupid Big 6 days ago:
No kidding! Do contractors in your country own their own equipment or is that a more common thing in USA? We have equipment rental places in the USA but I feel like any business that uses machines regularly ends up owning them. Feel like it would be weird to own equipment and have no way of transporting it LOL
- Comment on Your Truck is Stupid Big 6 days ago:
Normal people don’t need to haul over 30k lbs on a regular basis. Businesses sometimes do! These vehicles are not supposed to be daily drivers their supposed to be work horses. A 2 ton diesel chassy is made for hauling big loads, and if you don’t need to haul big loads you don’t need one simple as that! Really the only “regular people” I can fathom owning a rig like that are farmers otherwise they really are only useful in construction and other contracting gigs that require lots of equipment hauling to job sites, or in the case of where I work the need to haul multiple vehicles on a gooseneck at a time.
- Comment on Your Truck is Stupid Big 6 days ago:
Right so what do they use in the rest of the world to tow a skid steer + equipment or multi car good neck haulers or anything in that 30k+ lb payload? A gas 4 cyl Tacoma isn’t going to cut it. Neither will a V8 or V8 half ton truck. Do they just hire out tractors to do that kind of payload hauling? At work we somewhat regularly have to pull 20+k lbs so we have a big crew cab long box cummings to haul shit like that. Thing is a country mile long but it stays in its parking spot unless it’s getting a trailer hooked to it. If that seems excessive what vehicle do you recommend it gets replaced with? And don’t limit yourself to us mkt I’m genuinely curious !
- Comment on Your Truck is Stupid Big 6 days ago:
Does the rest of the world never need to move around equipment or trailers? In America these are every bit as useful as whatever country your from lol. Most of the time people here use them as daily drivers which is obscene but if it’s a business truck a big diesel can be more than necessary. A gas 4 cyl Tacoma is NOT pulling near half what a 2 ton chassy with a diesel V8 can
- Comment on Your Truck is Stupid Big 6 days ago:
Well bully for you cuz it’s a diesel rig and that’s even MORE expensive 😂
- Comment on Your Truck is Stupid Big 6 days ago:
Big diesel crew cab rigs are for towing trailers while hauling a crew. Think land scaping, construction etc.not too useful for the average joe using it as a Honda civic but for the right business they are exactly what you need.

- Comment on Why do some people with college degrees and an education, still act so fucking stupid? 5 weeks ago:
Education has no bearing on intelligence, or how “smart” you are. Sure, being more educated CAN make you smarter, but most people can skate by and get a degree while learning next to nothing. Plus I think a lot of higher educated yet ignorant people have the nose-above-ear holier then thou complex and can’t be told anything they don’t agree with or believe in already without throwing a fit. Plenty of educated people are very intelligent, but I think the stupid educated people make a lot of noise and appear as a larger group than they are as well. You know that whole loud minority thing.

I am familiar with Boston, and the 2 times I have driven in nyc it was SIGNIFICANTLY easier to navigate than Boston lol. NYC was at least partially thought out, Boston is what you get when your road planner is a 3 year old toddler who threw a hand full of spaghetti on a map and said theres your streets LOL. Possibly the most annoying city I have had the misfortune of navigating lol.

Wow. I had a psp way back and I can’t remember what happened to it , gave it away or lost it. Came across a ps vita and jail broke it and it’s awesome. Maybe if I see a psp crop up on eBay or marketplace I’ll have to scoop I had no idea you could expand the battery!

Being on my fiance healthcare vs paying private party is saving us 1k a month each. Not to mention dental, vision, and life insurance. She easily gets near 3k a month worth of benefits, although her take home pay isn’t great. My job has no benefits but pays more, she sometimes feels as though she doesn’t pull her weight and I have to remind her how much were NOT spending due to her benefits! If she lost her job I would have to quit mine and scramble to find one that would offer benefits to cover both of us.

According to USDA 37% of SNAP receipts are white and tend to be in red states so one could make an assumption or two. Of course hard to say for sure without voter data, so impossible to prove any of my incoherent ramblings. Take with grain of salt

We would also rid ourselves of the biggest social security and welfare leeches in the country so there’s that lol. Don’t forget we all pay for MAGAs stupidity in one way or another it’s a shared burden

Yea I guess you can fix stupid, but you can’t fix willful ignorance when presented with facts and evidence. I have long thought it made no sense that all these govt positions don’t require any expertise in the area they legislate.

Yea it’s not the addiction or even the brainworms that disqualify him, it’s simply his stupidity.

Did you play it at the time it was released or did u try to go back later? Skyrim was and is a legendary game for a reason, to each their own but in its day it was undeniably the best RPG game in existence and it held that title for years! The story is excellent. Games like this and enshrouded will also never achieve full enjoyment in those that don’t bother reading the game lore. If yo skip all the books and never read any I cans see why you wouldn’t get as immersed as say in the Witcher 3 story where you have more cutscenes fed to you. And don’t get it messed up, witcher 3 is a legend too and probably my all time favourite. But it did not offer me the same replayability Skyrim does. And the last point to Skyrim is it runs good on my potato spec laptop so I can play it on about anything!

I used to regularly work 55-60 hour weeks. For a while between 2 jobs then at one. After a decade or so I have a house and work 45 hours a week on average, I keep feeling like I should work more as the bills are still tough but fuck I don’t miss working more than I do. If u have to do it, it doesn’t seem as bad than if you don’t. Perspective matters a lot.
- Comment on Why do so many boomers and even some gen x believe so peristently that if you dressup and show up in person anywhere you will get whatever you went there for? 6 months ago:
It still kind of works in some industries. I got my last 3 jobs, and 2 of them “weren’t hiring”, by walking into the joint and asking to talk to the boss and saying I can start in 2 weeks I juat have to give my current biss notice. In demanding industries, showing up in person makes an impression, another app on a stack of applications gets you nowhere. Lots of people apply, few can talk the talk and walk the walk or actually do the work. I the auto industry you show up and impress the foreman or manager with your knowledge and your pretty much in. I know people that work in welding and a construction that this also works for. I also have siblings that are white collar that this absolutely does nothing for. Supposeit also depends on how much of a giant corp you work for, as I never work for monolithic corporations. If I can’t meet my boss I can’t work there.

I appreciate the advice! I’ll try that distro next. I’m hoping after this winter I’ll have more time to mess around with my PC. I have a bunch of old parts (fx6300, 750ti) from a gaming PC from decade or more ago that I plan on setting up in my garage for reading PDFs looking at wiring diagrams playing music etc. That will certainly be a Linux build and if I like it on there might put it on my zen3 rig. Currently reading diagrams off my 15 in laptop screen in my garage, will be much nicer with a desktop hooked up to a monitor and a spare TV I have kicking around.
