The quality definitely did nosedive in every Ubisoft series. It’s been that way for years now. Nothing they’ve been putting out the last decade has met the standard of quality set by their competition. Ubisoft has been digging their own grave through sheer incompetence alone since 2016.

There are haters for every Halo game aside from the original. What matters is the player counts and halo reach had plenty of players for a long time and still does on the MCC edition.

Bungie died in 2010 with the launch of the last good Halo game. They haven’t been as good since. Their leadership have all been crooks and profit seekers. They deserve to die along with most AAA studios that have been corrupted by MBAs and shareholders.

I wish they would add AI that wasn’t pants on head basic and predictable for the NPCs. Co-op is the best reason to pick up this game but the NPCs just path straight at you and always know where you’re at. It’s fun, but it’s not immersive in the slightest which means the amazing gunplay is wasted on it.

It amazes me that anyone played any far cry or assassins creed game in the last 10 years and went “yes this is a good game”. All they make is bare minimum surface level crap and it’s been that way for a loooooong time.
For Honor was their last good game.

Arc Raiders launched as a feature complete game, mostly bug free, well optimized, with a sufficient amount of functioning servers, and with genuinely innovative game design.
It sold incredibly well at 40 dollars. I’ve bought it 4 times myself.
Expecting every game to meet those criteria is not “absurd”. It used to be par for the industry and it still should be.
AAA games from publicly traded corporations are just absurdly underwhelming. They want us to think these standards are absurd so they can keep their minimal effort bullshit gravy train running. It’s not going to work anymore. That’s the free market. Adapt or die.

It doesn’t matter if you’re a mega corporation and previously had the winning formula. You adapt to meet evolving market demand or you die.
These c suites got too comfy doing everything to only please their shareholders. They forgot that pleasing their consumers wasn’t optional. We are your money supply. If you lose us, it all comes crashing down.
