- Comment on Ori studio in crisis: No Rest For The Wicked could be their final game 2 weeks ago:
It does feel better on the SteamDeck.
- Comment on Ori studio in crisis: No Rest For The Wicked could be their final game 2 weeks ago:
I’ve played it. Artwork is beautiful, but controls are wonky, hard to get used to on PC, and the gameplay unnecessarily punishing. It doesn’t feel good to play.
- Comment on Ori studio in crisis: No Rest For The Wicked could be their final game 2 weeks ago:
Maybe they should take the feedback from reviews and incorporate that into their updates. It’s not just that you are being review bombed by unreasonable people, it’s that people feel the game has problems that aren’t being addressed. I agree it is difficult to recover from a bad release because first impressions are everything. Companies can recover and have, take No Man’s Sky for an example.
- Comment on Forget foldable phones – LG's 'stretchable' in-car display can grow physical buttons when you need them, and I can't stop watching it 2 weeks ago:
I’m not in the market for a new car, but how about features that enhance operator focus, and reduce blind-spots. Less distractions.
- Comment on Valve rolls out SteamVR 2.10 with quick recenter, reduced controller and physics jitter and Linux fixes 3 weeks ago:
SteamVR crashes when selecting desktop view. Store doesn’t display, just a black screen. Library views fine.

- Comment on Oblivion Remastered Impressions (and Discussion Thread) 4 weeks ago:
I like the remaster, it plays much better than the original of course. The graphics at first were really sluggish/choppy, but i found disabling the steam overlay fixed it for me.

Yeah it’s called “The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered” after all.
- Comment on Shopify CEO tells teams to consider using AI before growing headcount 1 month ago:
The only thing that matters is creating value for the share-holder (this is how public corporations work). If you can convince the share-holders that AI can perform the job better than executives, they will demand executives and their board of directors be replaced on the spot. Share-holders care about one thing, maximizing profits. They will never favour the average employee as they see them as red numbers on the balance sheet. All the employees need to do is buy up all the shares and they can make this happen. Pretty unlikely scenario unfortunately, but one can dream.
- Comment on ‘A Minecraft Movie’ Mushrooms To $163M, Higher Than ‘Barbie’s Opening, Record For Videogame Pic; Warner Bros Brings The Box Office Back Alive – Update 1 month ago:
I love playing Modded Minecraft, but the movie was pretty awful. The writing was garbage and acting pretty bad. The set designs and creatures were done fairly well though. Kids will enjoy the movie, but adults will certainly notice the movie’s short-comings.
- Comment on From Cleaner Bathrooms to Fewer Trailers, 5 Movie Theater Owners on Ways to Bring Audiences Back to Cinemas 1 month ago:
It’s been 2 or more years since i went to a movie theater. Even then it was at most twice a year if that before. Movie theaters suck, too many commercials, too dirty, too expensive food, and the annoyance of audiences. At home i have a big projector, more comfortable movie chairs, and cheaper food i prepare, and no annoying audience members. What’s in it for me to return? The movies coming out these days are pretty boring, why not just stay home, watch movies there? Like the drive-in theater, this venue perhaps has seen it’s day and time to move on.
- Comment on Meta: “We're Still Investing Massively In VR Gaming And Don't Plan To Stop” 2 months ago:
Until Valve releases the Deckard, or whatever their next iteration VR hardware will be named, they’ll have to pry my Valve Index from my dead hands. No way in hell would i ever own anything from Meta/FB.
- Comment on Britain Issues Travel Warning for US 2 months ago:
Canada should issue a travel advisory for Canadians as well, considering what happened to Jasmine Mooney, a Canadian actress detained by I.C.E… Doesn’t matter who or how successful you are, they will come after Canadians. The president of the US has a hate on for Canadians, and his sycophants are looking to gain his favour, so if we must travel to the US, make sure you have all your paperwork correct before attempting crossing the border. Even then, i think Canadians in the US should be very cautious.
