  On Mobile OS updates are tied to firmware updates while on PC they’re completely seperate. Its also a severe issue on Arm based Linux PCs, if they loose support or worse never had Linux support they can be nearly impossible to use.

  Usually whenever I see a ton of downvotes its people doing the exact thing and I keep seeing it. Person makes strawman (ex: I say “I like socialism” and person responds “uh ok tankie, what about the holdomor”). I respond like a dumbass (I really should stop responding to low effort bad faith actors). They “own” me because world will mass downvote anyone who says uncomfortable truth and mass upvotes popular lies (damn this place really is like Reddit). Then I become the uneducated person who makes assumptions because I made the stupid mistake of responding. Yes I expert to be mass downvoted on this because the entire system is meant to incentive opinions you personally agree with in mass hoards of floads not opinions of any inherent value.

  Yup, every time I talk about workers libertarian they say “uhh but what about china, haha no food”. Ignoring the fact that most of their claims are garbage simply being a leftist has caused people to drag me with every leftist ideology and person to ever exist.

  I see ad hominem very often as well as strawmanning. Specifically on lemmy people will say tankie/auth or irl they’ll say woke/liberal and then use those insults to further strawman argumenents. Specifically multiple times I have said “hey I voted Kamala but her policies deeply concern me”, and people responded with “Uhh how dare you not vote Kamala and openly declare you hate democracy, freedom, and trans people”.
