I’m saying without the greed of capitalism we wouldn’t have phones to swap out parts.
This might be a hot take but I’m not sure we all need a phone in our pocket or that it’s inherently a good thing.

They changed literally to mean figuratively because the internet wouldn’t stop doing it.
This timeline is fucked in so many ways.

The jailbait subreddit was regularly on the front page and openly joked about for years, Spez was even a mod for a bit “as a joke” until Anderson Cooper did a story about it.

Additionally, some instances disable up/downvotes as well so you don’t even need to worry about internet points if you don’t want to.
It’s worth looking around and finding a few instances you like and checking them out. Some tend to have their old local culture which is kind of neat.

Fried and de-legged they taste like sunflower seed kernels, they’re really inoffensive. The worst part is thinking about what they are.

Absolutely, water being such a vital part of life pretty much ensures it’ll be referenced. Kind of the same thing as various sun gods in cultures around the world.
- Comment on The Ljungavik Dog: A Mesolithic dog burial 2 weeks ago:
I feel like the myth existing in cultures around the world from Mesopotamia to the Americas gives its more credence. It makes sense that a world-changing event would work its way into various disparate cultures.

People are still talking about some flood that probably happened at some point in pre-history.

I tell people as often as I can, especially my trans and bipoc friends; now is the time. Get a couple guns (a long one and a short one) and learn how to use them. Learn some basic first aid, you really just need to know how to stabilize someone. Start networking with like-minded people in your communities. The police will not protect us, they’ve proven they’ll happily club senior citizens to the ground and shoot any protesters in the face with rubber bullets while escorting a rightwing murderer to safety.
Iran was a secular, liberal state until almost 1980 when they (mostly legitimately) elected an Islamist theocracy; it could happen here.

Yeah that’s called “prejudice” and isnt a good quality.
Swap “southern” for “black” or “gay” and see if you’d be proud to make that same claim.

Fucking lol at hateful idiots stereotyping an entire geographic area. I’m sure in their minds it’s completely different than stereotyping people because of their race/creed/gender/whatever.

100% spot on, pump and dumps are especially rampant in crypto because a couple of people can generate a ton of coins and own the entire market for that coin. If they can get that price to rise even just a fractional amount through whatever completely unregulated means they can dump it to the suckers buying and cash out. It’s like printing money but the printing presses are stupid people.

Yep, if it contributes to the discussion (even if you don’t agree) you up vote. If it contributes nothing or derails the discussion, down vote.

You’re building a whole lot of strawmen.
The rightwing fight has been going on since shortly after FDRs New Deal, over 70 years. The wealthy hated it and immediately set about funding right wing think tanks to undo it’s progress. They’ve been exceptionally successful and those thinktanks are now pipelines used to funnel judges and policy wonks into positions where they have power.
This is so much bigger than Russia or Gender and the fact that you think those are the actual fights really highlights why “the left” can’t ever get it’s shit together while the right votes in lockstep yet again. You can’t see the forest for the tree.
Do you really think Biden was on any of our sides? Do you really think this is a new thing? That fascists just crawled out of the woodwork in the last 8 years?
Tell you what, I wish you were right, that might galvanize someone and prove the danger but it won’t happen. Biden will open his presidential library and the country will continue circling the drain, yelling into the void while the right snatches more of our rights. But hey you can point at Trump and say “typical man!” like it means anything.

There’s truly no war but the class war comrade. Let’s suppose Biden is taken out, nothing would be lost and it’d serve his milquetoast ruling class self right, wouldn’t it?
Btw pretty insulting for you to assume anything about my gender or color or orientation or creed or anything elsebecause I think your take is halfassed.
- Comment on "The American experiment endures," Biden said. "We're going to be OK." 1 month ago:
There we go, gotta make it a gender thing instead the actual FUCKING RICH RULING CLASS EVERYONE even though both Biden and Trump are men.
Refuting your little essay isn’t even worth the time. Did they hang Pence? Did they “get” Nancy Pelosi? Or are those people still rich and living in their mansions?
You realize an angry mob or a psycho with a hammer is quite a bit different than an orchestrated, targeted hit right?
- Comment on "The American experiment endures," Biden said. "We're going to be OK." 1 month ago:
Biden is rich he’ll be just fine. Donnie talks a big talk but when push comes to shove money and connections are everything and Biden still has those. Just today they’re reporting he’s “paving the way for a smooth transition” or some other bullshit.
The rest of us are fucked but the rich and powerful will be the least fucked.
