- Comment on Some Older PC games I have, just wanted to share. 1 day ago:
I used to play one of those demo disc games where you get to fly an aircraft and do missiona, but back then i had bo clue what the mission was i was just happy being able to fly.
I never stopped playing games, i was always taught that you can’t pilot when you’re colorblind so i was convinced video games would allow me to do things real life would never let me.
Skyrim really caught me and after that cyberpunk took it’s place, i just love being rewarded for your work and getting to do cool shit with that money.
Real life barely feels like you’re being rewarded anymore imo.

I do photography, archery and 3d printing.
Photography seems to only invite critique, archery tends to be a short subkect of conversation but 3d printing usually leads to the most questions and takes up a larger part of the conversation.
When i played bass, no one really showed any interest other than one friends who caught me playing a small part of something i was figuring out how to follow it up and wanted to sample it. Which eventually led to nothing.
I designed a silencer for airsoft in fusion360 and already sold 10, a friend asked me to print a spitfire and i eventually summoned up the idea to make some spitfire exhausts he could mount on his spitfire themed mini cooper, my archery club has these plastic stars that tend to be used on the carnival for air guns so i designed some custom ones with their logo “just because”. I also printed some trophy’s which i still have to give out.
Once you get a reliable 3d printer and learn the software well enough, it is an amazing hobby.
The wife paints miniatures (think warhammer for example) and she needs plinths for her competition models. So i shit out a custom plinth within an hour including print time. It’s so awesome and after 5 years i’m still amazed when i get to hold something that was nothing more than a digital design a mere hour before, i have a mini factory inside my house that only produces what i tell it to…it’s absolutely insane.

So, give him the expected pushback and then some.

What, i was always told the bassist is the crazy one and i can confirm as i used to be the bassist.
- Comment on DarkPattern.games - a website that rates mobile games for their "dark patterns" 2 months ago:
Not sure of they fixed Diablo, but that one had some dark mechanics for the season stuff making people accidentally get the premium.
- Comment on Very thankful 2 months ago:
I just pirate that porn, heck many of them charge for their OF while they post the same shit that’s on their insta and when they do release something worthwhile you gotta dunk another 50 to get it.
While already spending 8 bucks a month just to see a mirror of their instagram.
Just sell the damn video for 58 bucks and leave out the bullshit part of the deal. They’re just playing into addiction related habits to get you to spend more.
- Comment on Satisfactory 1.0 3 months ago:
Oohh nice, even tho i’m not really the right person for such a game.
I keep losing track and starting over, then realizing i want it to look cooler…start rebuilding and lose interest and drop the game fir quite a time until i find out i lost track and start the cycle over again.

- Comment on Or meet and cheese 5 months ago:
Not anymore it isn’t. I remember my parents getting a weeks worth of meats and cheese for €15 making the same wage as i do now.
I would now pay roughly 50€ for a similar selection, so no more meats and cheese because i also pay triple the rent they did for a house half the size.
No i’ll never stop complaining about it because my wage 10 years ago paid for a lovely house and allowed me to enjoy life by working out like the beast i enjoy being and now i’m left empty handed beside a load of skills that my employer deems worthless but a requirement nonetheless.
Make it make sense, because i’m certain we deserve more than what we currently get.

Fam, at my last job they had roughly 23h of activity for me per week. 17h of nothing to do and still having to stick around because i needed every penny to be able to pay my bills.

I can’t be arsed to modify a gravestone with youtube logo on it, but that’s what it would look like to me if they pulled that off.
Just bye, good luck.
I’m already surprised how people fell into the short content trap/addiction loop. That in itself was a eye opener for me to take a step back.

You might want to watch “zakje” by John Fealey, bonus laughs if you’re Dutch as more of it will be relatable.

You forgot “loading screen simulator” unless they fixed that, i don’t know.
- Comment on Starfield: Shattered Space - Official Trailer 6 months ago:
I was very tickled having a modern but familiar “stealth archer” build in the shape of a stealth sniper.
I just expected more from the game in the long run.
- Comment on Starfield: Shattered Space - Official Trailer 6 months ago:
I saw this pop up in steam, tbh i gave up on starfield after playing through it once.
Took about 70 hours to get bored and annoyed with seeing more loading screens than gameplay.
- Comment on Employees Who Stay In Companies Longer Than Two Years Get Paid 50% Less 6 months ago:
I’ve moved to a couple different employers over the last few years obtaining all kinds of skills, most of the companies went down or moved to cheaper labour countries.
My wage has been stagnant for the past 10 years. It’s all bullshit anyway, they just fuck with you just to fuck with you.

- Comment on From layoffs to lawsuits, billionaires are striking back to crush worker power 8 months ago:
What “worker power”?
The fact that we can’t afford a house or that we can’t afford the food we need to do your jobs? Those are our powers and the reason we stand up to you.
What are they aiming for? Enslaving the whole planet or something? It’s definitely starting to look like that.

- Comment on "looks inside, individually packaged" 11 months ago:
Why would i change laws for the straws when they are replaced for a good cause.
The point i attempted to make is that that single straw is like half a gram of plastic saved when the manufacturer makes possibly millions of these packages that waste 30x the plastic that is saved on my straw.
We just need a good and effective way to make the manufacturer of these products change their ways. Adding costs/fines/taxes for plastic usage isn’t helping because they just pass those on to us and sneak in a little extra profit.
- Comment on "looks inside, individually packaged" 11 months ago:
I got a big pack of milka cookies, it was huge…triple the size of their regular…turns out it only came with 2 extra cookies.
It had a huge plastic tray, remind me again why i’m being told to use a paper straw once every 2 years i actually get a straw when manufacturers keep pulling shit like that.
