- Comment on How often do you use the small pocket inside your jeans pocket (if you have it) ? and what for ? 3 weeks ago:
In my younger days of hitting the club, I would use it every time I went out. Wallet in right back pocket, lip gloss in small pocket.
I never use it now. Now it’s wallet in left back pocket, phone in right back pocket, keys in right front pocket, earbuds in left front pocket. If I’m working and wearing cargo pants, work gloves go in left back pocket and wallet shifts to a more secure left leg pocket, pens and box cutter in right leg pocket.

I don’t understand any of that, but I’m about to move into a brick house and now I’m wondering if my cell signal is going to suffer.

Thanks to this, I just went down a rabbit hole learning about the real Paul Stamets and the fictional but fascinating S-drive.

I feel exactly the same way as how you described it. I think the quote from OP about the universe experiencing itself actually originated from Carl Sagan, who is as scientific and atheistic as you could ask for. It’s just a play on words.
And then you have the likes of Deepak Chopra, who is the most disingenuous woowoo-talking charlatan in existence. If he said something like that, he would mean it literally.

I know what they are, was just shocked he uses them for laundry. I can almost feel my skin breaking out in a rash just thinking about it.

- Comment on Have you ever seen coal in real life? 1 month ago:
I looked up “coal garden” and it unlocked a memory from my childhood. I think my older sister had a science experiment type of toy that grew crystals like that.

Whoa, I didn’t expect coal to look so pretty!

Spawn more overlords!
- Comment on What games do you replay regularly/annually ? 1 month ago:
This might be a dumb question but is it doable to replay without having to talk to all your crew so frequently? And would you mind giving a rundown of what mods you’re using and what they do? I’ve only ever played the trilogy with no mods. Also played ME3 multiplayer a ton.

It was the “hours kneading and rolling and cooking” that gave it away for me, then the end confirmed it.

Suggestion: Get some canned refried beans. With the tortillas and cheese, you can make burritos.
Better suggestion: Get a bag of dried pinto beans and learn how to make your own beans. It’s really simple, just needs to be aimmered a long time.

I’m now reading the original comment in my head with a Russian accent. It totally takes the edge off, actually makes it comical.

Omg if I came across that while hiking in the woods without knowing what it was, I would probably hightail it out of there, all the while looking back to make sure it wasn’t following me.
- Comment on What's the best way to read a book in a dark room? 4 months ago:
I used something similar but no purchase necessary.
I used my phone as a light to read a physical book in bed. I would open Google Keep to a blank yellow sticky note, and my screen was so dim that it was really a dark amber light, and I’d rest my phone on my chest facing up so it lit up the pages.

- Comment on People who dont particularly care for or celebrate Christmas, Whats your favorite Christmas song? 4 months ago:
There is this version that’s played at work and I call it the human sacrifice song. When they get to that crescendo and the choir all hit the high note together, I raise both arms up as if I were holding a baby about to be sacrificed. Now my coworkers all do it too. We’ll just catch each other’s eye across the room and raise both arms at the right moment.
- Comment on Recommend a game for me to play with my partner 5 months ago:
Yes, I did. I remember using one hand to control each brother, hence my thinking they found each control one with a shared keyboard.
It was just a suggestion. And the fact that it’s simple and short I thought was good since she doesn’t sound like she likes intense games.
