- Comment on Is it safe to use a non-gaming computer for light gaming? 2 days ago:
My framework 13 has a Ryzen 5 7640U with only the integrated graphics and I’ve yet to find a game it can’t run decently. It gives me maybe a little over half the performance of my desktop with a Ryzen 7 5700X and Radeon 6650XT, so I can usually run anything on my laptop at 30fps if I can run it on my desktop at 60.
- Comment on Lastest Riot Vanguard Update Can Brick Your Hardware (If You're a Cheater) 1 week ago:
I think even breaking hardware that you know is only for cheating should still never be done. It’s a game, it does not matter that much. Hopefully this results in a lawsuit
- Comment on If you could make a magic wish so that your crush liked you, would you do it? 2 weeks ago:
Well I don’t know, if that’s the way you want to be it’s not really a lie. That’s all stuff you could do without magic, it’s just more work
- Comment on If you could make a magic wish so that your crush liked you, would you do it? 2 weeks ago:
forcing someone to love you is unethical whether you use magic or just normal manipulation

my question is how did they preserve the earlier stages long enough to still look good? i feel like i’ve never seen a blackberry bush with good looking flowers and fruit at the same time

- Comment on If you're fond of restoring 30-year-old PCs, but then you see some old PC parts being obliterated by scrappers just to get small pitiful pinches of gold. 2 months ago:
Would you say someone restoring an old car should recycle it instead? If an archaeologist finds an old buried tool should they recycle it? The rosetta stone is made from valuable silica, let’s recycle that too!
People are allowed to enjoy things. If having a couple of old computers makes someone happy, isn’t that better than them buying new things instead?
- Comment on When people recommend Brave browser. 2 months ago:
Vivaldi is the one chromium browser that keeps pulling me towards the dark side. I used it for years before switching to firefox and if it wasn’t for the danger of the chromium monopoly I’d probably switch back to it

- Comment on How many active robots do you think exist today on this planeeet by your best estimate ? 4 months ago:
Well we know in the year 1240 the answer was 0 and in 1241 it was 0. So we know that the number of robots is increasing at a rate of zero per year. If we follow that trend to today, we get 0 (robots in 1240) + 786 (years since 1240) * 0 (robots per year) = 0 robots in 2026.
- Comment on ~$99~ 4 months ago:
Yeah, I think minecraft is the most expensive game I’ve ever bought, there are just so many good things around that $20 mark. Beamng, terraria, vintage story, hytale, ets2/ats, stardew valley, slime rancher, it’s so much stuff
- Comment on Is there a real, actually working way to earn money online without having a job? 5 months ago:
I mean I think anything you do that makes enough money to be worth it is just a job at that point right? Like you could start streaming on twitch or something, but once you start making money from it, it becomes a job.
- Comment on The shop app says my package will arrive tomorrow but it hasn't even moved from its start point in Hong Kong yet 5 months ago:

- Comment on Want to play the latest multiplayer games? Just go into your bios settings or upgrade your PC if it doesn't have TPM chip. 6 months ago:
Exactly, and you’ll save tons of money too. ETS2 goes on sale for $5, stardew valley for $7.50, vintage story doesn’t go on sale but it’s only $22. All games that are way more fun, way less buggy, and have way more replay value than every piece of triple a junk i’ve played
- Comment on Homebrew, de facto standard package manager for macOS, now forces Apple's $99/yr notarization bullshit for all casks. 6 months ago:
It’s crazy how bad software compatibility on macos is. I used to assume it was about the same or slightly better than linux in that regard, but my attempts to help my friend play games on macos have almost entirely failed despite the fact that I have tons of experience playing games on linux since it’s always been my main os

- Comment on Can Mac apps be emulated and run on Windows? 7 months ago:
I thought WSL1 was a compatibility layer and 2 was a VM and they were both still supported? Is WSL 1 gone now?
- Comment on Can Mac apps be emulated and run on Windows? 7 months ago:
She, but yeah. I don’t think it’s a good idea, but it is technically a way to run a small subset of macos software on windows without a VM, just using multiple compatibility layers instead
- Comment on Can Mac apps be emulated and run on Windows? 7 months ago:
There is a translation layer for running MacOS software on Linux called Darling. In theory you could run that in WSL. The only downside is it is in very early development and not really at all usable

Yeah krita definitely isn’t the right tool for bulk jobs. You might want to look into learning to use imagemagick’s command line tools, they’re pretty much the gold standard for bulk image tasks
