I recall hearing that that this game was originally an elevator algorithm simulator, and that if you right-click in an elevator pit, you can fiddle with the algo.
- Comment on If someone was shrunk down to the size of an ant would they be able to make a little ant sized campfire with the same principles? Does it scale like that? 2 weeks ago:
Depends on the physics model… would an ant-sized human weigh as much as an ant or a human?

From a boss’ perspective, even if AI 100% matched human wit, it is only with much difficulty that humans ask for a raise (and you can always say ‘no’ as a default answer), but if you’re AI provider doubles your rates and your AI-accountant does not raise an alert… it might be a devastating and invisible raise to “everyone” (everybot?) and defaults to being accepted.

AFAIK, private prisons are paid per-person, so they might notice if their profits slump.

I was going to make a joke about that meaning having a set of car keys on your person would be driving, but then I remembered that people HAVE been arrested for drunk driving a parked car, simply because they were sitting in that car with the keys on their person. Our legal system…
- Comment on Open Carry Loophole 3 months ago:
Neat, but sounds like bad legal advice. Last time I looked it up, it said something like “possessing a firearm on or about one’s person”… so it doesn’t matter if it’s attached to your dog or pulled behind your on a skateboard or held in mid-air using some kind of hovering drone… if it is near you and under your control, you have it.
IMO, the interesting case would be if the weapon is stored in your home (where nobody questions it may be), and you can summon it.

Consider using a non-intel PCIe card for networking.

If only there were some kind of… I don’t know… ‘market’… where you could sell your unwanted ‘stock’ or oil to the highest bidder… at a reduced price, given the urgency.
