  Barristas that served them a coffee beforehand?

  How far back does the help need to be to count? Will GPs be arrested for caring for and ensuring the protestors are physically well enough to attend?

  So they’ll arrest anyone supporting Palestinians by supporting Palestine Action, and they’ll sentence them as terrorists even if there are no charges of terrorism. And they’ll arrest anyone supporting the people supporting Palestinians by supporting Palestine Action. And now they’ll arrest anyone supporting the people supporting the people supporting Palestinians by supporting Palestine Action. What on earth are they going to do if people show up supporting the people supporting the people supporting the people supporting Palestinians by supporting Palestine Action? If they keep this up, will it expand exponentially until they’ve arrested everyone in the UK by next Tuesday?

    That’s the thing, no one picked Burnham, except the handful of MP’s who nominated him. He didn’t run an election as leader of the party, and because no one stood against him he wasn’t even elected by the party.

      I don’t know how much “social democratic philosophy” is left when you get rid of the socialists, and choose Capitalism as your defining financial preference/policy.

      You need elements of redistribution and market intervention to have a genuine socially democratic philosophy. The things “Market Liberalism” introduced as “economic rationalism” took over the establishment left were: Privatization, liaising with big business, tax reduction, restrictions on unionism, enterprise/individual bargaining… so I think claiming there’s anything “socially democratic” left at that point is a bit rich.
