For sure. But having your health insurance tied to your employer is one of the things that are fundamentally wrong with the US.
Companies like Uber and Lyft should NOT be allowed to treat their employees like dirt

Exactly this. It started in WWII during a period of stabilized wages (i.e. federally enforced upper limits on wages to make things more fair for companies seeking labour) as a way of offering benefits to attract employees, but it would of course be cheaper for everyone if we switched over to universal healthcare. And actually cover everyone instead of leaving millions to die.

We need universal public healthcare and an end to privatized healthcare.

Nah, Hakeem Jeffries has already said No to Universal Health Care, so we can’t have it.
He expects to remain Speaker when the Dems take over after the Midterm Bloodbath, because he’s done such a great job during the Biden era, making sure MAGA didn’t regain momentum, and take over again. He’s proven that he deserves a second chance to fuck it all up for good this time.

If you want to hear a crazy story I used to get government health insurance for like $30 a month. Never wound up using it but it was good to have. Then Trump does some fucking idiot God damn bullshit and then they tell me oh hey your new premium is $400 a month and I said nope and I canceled it and now if something bad happens I will simply die.

My parents had to move away to somewhere more affordable to make ends meet because their health insurance was running them $2000 a month due to this piece of shit :(

What does this have to do with Uber ?
Isn’t the insurer the one who defines the copay?

There were (maybe still are?) cost share reductions for some people. Maybe it’s something to do with that?

Old man rambling about obvious shit again. Is shitposting on twitter his whole job?
DarrinBrunner@lemmy.world 4 days ago
He ran for President twice, and has been a Senator for twenty years.
So, he does more than speak out on Twitter.

All of these democrats like him and AOC don’t even tell you what they will do. They wax on about what everyone else should do. Fucking losers.

No, his whole job is pulling the left towards liberal zionism.

How, because he’s Jewish? The man is outspokenly pro-Palestine.

If employers had their way, we’d all be “contractors”.
