Was it really a big deal what Kyle Grass said on his birthday, that he wished the shooter did not miss (referring to Trump) in Australia? Kind of seems like he's been blacklisted along side Jack Black

Probably wasn’t the cleverest thing to say publicly, whether he meant it or not.

Having said that it was a complete overreaction - almost like he was cancelled. Kyle is just a dude who plays the guitar. Forget about it.

Metal and rock bands have always been trying to say and do provocative things because it’s part of their act. The only reason this caught on is because Trump is such a powerful media presence that anything mentioning him automatically gets attention.

The Beatles: “we’re bigger than Jesus” RATM: “fuck the establishment and state tyranny” Twisted Sister: dress in drag and criticize the status quo GWAR: mock executions of state leaders Ozzie: bites head off a bat

My favorite part of the whole thing is that after KG posted an “apology”, he deleted the post and didn’t waste effort lying to try and save face with people offended by his statement. Fuck Trump, KG was right.

Jack Black has had a resurgence after that in movies so jot really sure he was canceled. But while filming Tenacious D hardly ever goes on tour. I get why Jack Black was afraid after Kyle said that publicly. But fuck ‘em you should have kept playing.
