Look, if you’re gonna make something about secrets in a game you have to know the first thing about players, they will find that shit AND ask why theres not more in the first few hours. I straight up turned the movie off after that secret with backing up in the beginning of the race. Some child who doesnt know how to drive would accidentally find that in the first week of release. Similarly, I deleted the book without ever opening the file after that.

The first game I ever bought ‘by myself’ was a sealed copy of Phantasy Star Online for GameCube long after its hayday in like 2011. I worked all summer for it, and it was 200 fucken dollars for an unopened copy. Worth every penny I still have it today, just used the disc to load it into Dolphin.

Its bad, dude sounded like he wanted this the entire time and it really would be better. But that scene in the beginning stuck with me through the entire reading and I came out with nearly the same interpretation as the movie.
