I don’t get it, do I want good credit or bad credit? Should I bury my cash in the yard and default on a few payments so it looks like I need more money?

They don’t care that you need more money - they care about how DESPERATE you are for that money because desperate people will put up with more for less.

Yep, they can still do a soft pull. Frozen is the only way to roll though.
