If your 24- to 26-year-old son or daughter hated poor people their age and only dated successful people in their 50s, 60s, etc., how would you react?
Nothing really.
By that age there is no debate, they are adults. They make their own choices. All you can do is watch, and hope for the best.

I’d remind them that, in the US, most senior citizens go through all their savings until they have almost nothing and the government can sometimes help them survive until they die or other family helps pay for their end of life care. Even if someone seems well off doesn’t mean they will be able to support anyone else past their end of life. The US economy is set up to drain people’s money. Your child will still likely need to work, especially if they want government assistance in their older years themselves (which they will need if they aren’t planning on being able to make enough to support themselves).
I’d blame the parents for not distilling in their child certain values.
I’d say, “welcome back, dear old friend!”, and be grateful they don’t do illegal street racing.
I’d be fine with the street racing, but if they watched ANYTHING involving Superman, that’s a deal breaker.
Nothing.
It would be creepy, and I probably wouldn’t like the rich old person all that much, but as long as everyone is happy and safe, there’s not really anything to do.
