  There’s something I don’t understand here. See the wikipedia article, which shows billions in losses, and (eyeballing) a ratio of ~20-200, not 3. Anybody know what’s up?

    This is just a guess, but maybe the 2014 study the figure in the meme is based on have ultra strict criteria or something like that 🤷🏻

  Being extremely rich (anything over 100 million) should be considered a mental disease and treated as such. Such people should not be allowed to lead companies or work as a politician, because their disease makes them completely unable to work for the common good since they have lost the ability to feel empathy.

  As a non-US-american: if your company doesn’t pay you what it is supposed to pay, why don’t u just sue them? Then they have to pay you AND the lawsuit.

    Without a job you have zero support system and you have to be worried about other jobs not hiring you. It’s why strict rights and laws from a government need to be there, so that everyone has them and companies can’t just ignore the people who actually fight back.

    I have a friend who had to deal with this here in Canada. He has plenty of money saved up and could actually afford to go after them, especially as he could use the time to relax and basically have a vacation. And we can only expect it to get worse under Carney and the Liberals as their now entirely unchecked conservatism is just rolling through our rights.

      Civilized countries have a social net. Or at least SHOULD have. Also you could sue WHILE still working there. If they owe you money, they owe you money.
