But are you also a hot-rodding teenager from Dimension X?

      Women respect a neutron male

        Especially a Jimmy neutron male

I’m a gamma male, high penetration power, minimal effect.

Gamma Rays are X-Rays for all intents and purposes.

      So if you’re a Y-male, you’re also essentially an X-male.

That makes you an XY male, which makes sense.

no they aren’t… gamma rays are so much hotter than x-rays

I hate this image so much because it implies that neutron radiation has more penetrating power than gamma when it’s actually because different things stop them and it’s entirely energy dependent on what that is.

To be fair neutrons are usually harder to block. Lead has a tenth thickness of 2” for gammas whereas the smallest tenth thickness for neutrons is around 6” for borated poly and the most common shields are water at 10” and concrete at 14”

So yeah it is different but overall it takes much thicker shields to block neutrons than gammas

Also, a free neutron decays after 608 seconds with 0.782 MeV blast into stable proton, electron and anti-neutrino. The more know…
