The population under scrutiny is oblivious to the existence of the science of Psychohistory. The time periods dealt with are in the region of 3 generations. The population must be in the billions (±75 billions) for a statistical probability to have a psychohistorical validity.

I loved the Asimov’s book series, but the TV show Foundation is kinda mediocre.

It’s a fun enough sci-fi show in it’s own right, I like the whole Brother Dawn/Day/Dusk thing. But it is not really a faithful adaptation at all, and is super frustrating to watch when they just change key story elements.

This was why I dropped my Statistics class. It felt like butchering math to achive conformation bias.

You may or may not die if you eat this meal.
It's quasi-poison.

Literally the definition of LD50, i.e. a dose where half of the people who take that dose will die. Usually expressed as grams per kilogram of bodyweight (or american equivalent clippings of grass per rocks of bodyweight or something idk)

We use hamburgers as our unit of measure now, not grass clippings. That’s offensive.

You’re thinking of the UK, where they still use Stone for body weight.
