Most of those kids if things like parks and walkable safe cities increase economic health overall but it doesn’t go into the specific pocket of a capitalist in a direct way they can see. Plus the general kick the poor attitude from the same group.
Sad that, of all the things that have changed in the world, nothing about this has changed one bit since then.
I don’t believe in a brighter future any more.
How does the government treat work done on public places by the people? Because, at least where I live, the law forbids citizens of doing public works - so, if the community came together to build a park, the govt can decide to demolish it because “it wasn’t planned properly”. Of course, proper resistance to that usually ends with citizen victory, it really puts a damper on people when the law is against you.
Like feeding or housing the homeless, sadly.
