A 70-year-old man accused of using the banned phrase “from the river to the sea” at a Gaza conflict protest will claim the charge was “insane”, a magistrate has heard.
Well he right it is insane, suddenly the world over far right whack jobs have gained illegitimate power and have been ruining everything for the sake of of some rich zionists and pedophiles.
It would think it sounded like some nutty conspiracy theory if it wasn’t happening in plain view.

Honestly disappointed. I’d have liked to see a straight up “not guilty” plea, and go hard and direct on the constitutional angle. It’s pretty obvious that the laws violate the implied right to freedom of political communication. They serve no function but that.

I mean those are the same. If you argue that the laws are nonsense, then you are arguing that you are not guilty.

Oh, I misread. The headline I read (not this one) said that he was pleading insanity.
