Ayup. There’s such a thing as rich chavs (called bogans in Australia).
Bogans are the same as chavs, they’re not rich outside of a few thousand C.U.B. (Cashed-Up Bogans) who do FIFO work at the mines and make more than like 90% of the country.
Completely agree. OP is a troll. They pop up every so often claiming this nonsense. Chav is not, and never has been, a slur, towards working class people or otherwise.
Source - I’m a working class man from a working class area in the UK and in my mid 40s. I was in my teens when chav became a thing, and it only ever applied to a certain subset of people.
Dude read 1 book and is now obsessed over someone else’s incorrect assesment. 🤦♂️
Why are you obsessed with charvas?
He wants chavettes
You’re funny.

In case any non-British are reading this, ‘chav’ is a term used to describe a small subset of British working class people. It used to describe young people with “loutish (ill-mannered) behaviour, violence, and particular speech patterns (all of which are stereotypes)” (Wikipedia.
It is not a term used to describe the general working class population of Britian.

As someone who’s proudly working class and who works in a supermarket in the middle of a chavvy town - thanks for this.
