Yes this is a callout post. What are you doing mods? Actually infuriating material, mountains of political shit, and now explicit harassment.
At the very least, enforce your own sidebar rules.
That is not an attack. Literally no one knows what that letter-thing is. It makes it incredibly difficult to read at first glance.

And that’s how you learn that Lemmy is full people that can’t tolerate diversity. I can read that person’s comments just fine but apparently others downvote and whine.
And they don’t even need to learn another language, just a letter. But alas, I guess this is very hard to do.
The mods seem mostly inactive. If you want to help, contact the lemmy.world admins (not via reports) and try to get added as a mod, then appoint more mods.

The fuck are you talking about? I’m not the thorn guy, and I do find their “quirk” annoying.
A callout post about another user, like this one, is explicitly against the sidebar rules, and it’s a massive dick move to not just block the guy and instead make a callout post for something so small. I don’t want to see lemmy turn into the brigading fest that reddit could be at times, so I’m going to call this shit out.
I’ve already reported it, which is the reasonable response. This callout post is because it marks a distinct pattern of completely absent moderation here, backed up by the fact that only one of the three mods has any activity in the last fucking year.
My feelings aren’t hurt, I’m frustrated at the shit state of this sub, and I’m going to at least try to do what little I can before I do the responsible thing of just blocking and peacing out.
I see no significant attack in your screenshot, if you want mods to censor to such level, you’ll make this place hostile for casual talk, a fascist place where people will preemptively censor themselves before being punished.
If you so passionately dislike the thorn guy, block him, and let others decide if they want to block him too. Don’t impose your tastes on the public.

If there’s really just one mod, then maybe they should pick a few other people to help manage the community. But if they’re not willing to do that, and people are genuinely annoyed about the lack of modding then we should start an alternate community.
It seems like a lot of posts on here are about frustration with modding (to be fair, it is only mildly irritating to me), so maybe there’s enough support for a new community. Or is there a way to contact the instance mods and get more mods assigned, if the existing mod team aren’t around?

Yeah, not only is the way that user is writing actually infuriating, but they’re also doing it because of the attention it gets - this is just more of that.
