I’m glad the court reached the correct decision here, but I simply cannot fathom how they could think that girl might not fully understand the procedure, so should instead be saddled with a child to raise for the next 18 years. Children should not be forced to give birth to / raise other children, especially when the child is not old enough to live independently.

I assume they assume the child would be put up for adoption or put in state care to also be raped at 11 when she comes of age.:(
But to be fair conservatives really don’t give a ahit after they have been birthed, so who knows ?
The whole things fucked up. I have to go take a shower now

Too young to learn about her period in school, yet old enough to be forced to raise a child.

thought this was about the americans at first (inb4shade) and my thought was “what’s the catch, is uncle clarence gonna insist on administering it himself?”
the actual story is… bleak. now at least the girl might have a future of her own.

She reportedly continues to vape, smoke cigarettes and cannabis when available and drink alcohol. She has reportedly ceased chroming,” the documents read.
Jesus fucking christ, this is uncomfortable to think about
all this bullshit theatre over a neo Nazi supporting racist, and this kind of shit is going on. this is the first news I’ve read in days that has truly affected me. this is a horrible situation

This is about the third time a story like this has popped up. I wonder if it’s the same girl or separate stories.

Fuck Queensland abortion laws. Shouldn’t have gone to court in the first place.
