- Comment on 130,000 people: One Nation clarifies plan for major migration cut 1 day ago:
tis the way with rightwing leaders it seems , AFD leader, lives in Switzerland, lesbian, married to a Sri Lanken with an adopted kid, a literal nazi who bangs on about traditional families and immigrants.
Nigel Farage, bangs on about immigrants, married to an immigrant, Trump similarly
and yet zero fucking accountability for their hypocrisy! Fuck voters.

the latter observation disproves the former assumption. They’re LARPing as “well adjusted adults”

fucked around for decades, can’t even be ass’d voting Green to move the Overton Window and do a little and we’re now finding out. Hell, ONP has broad support and they literally deny climate change.
- Comment on Record El Niño to bake Australia after extreme heat and fires across Europe and North America 1 week ago:
those (and heat) are reasons we moved to dairy country in semi rural Tassie, high rainfall, off a flood plain on a small hill and zero bushfire risk. My gf was a RFS Captain in Northern NSW and fought fires from August though November, full time (took time off work and I paid all the bills)
she still suffers PTSD from it all (flashbacks watching the French and Spanish fires) and had zero pay, as pointed out to her by several coppers as they smirked at her during town evacuations, them being paid and she wasn’t.

- Comment on Why do some people identify with a political party even if many of their views don't align with that party's platform? 2 weeks ago:
Stupid people, seems you’ve met a few
These are Cipolla’s five fundamental laws of stupidity:
-
Always and inevitably, everyone underestimates the number of stupid individuals in circulation.
-
The probability that a certain person (will) be stupid is independent of any other characteristic of that person.
-
A stupid person is a person who causes losses to another person or to a group of persons while himself deriving no gain and even possibly incurring losses.
-
Non-stupid people always underestimate the damaging power of stupid individuals. In particular, non-stupid people constantly forget that at all times and places, and under any circumstances, to deal and/or associate with stupid people always turns out to be a costly mistake.
-
A stupid person is the most dangerous type of person.

- Comment on How old is the "world's oldest profession"? 2 weeks ago:
i was reading a history of aboriginal tribes in Australia and they said the tribes regularly met for socailsing, to sort out petty grievances and to trade including the women, who used the opportunity to “trade” genetic diversity. The book seem’d to suggest this was both necessary (as in part of the trade) and at the women’s discretion of cock choice.
Difficult to say if this occured for the 60,000 years or so the’d been in Australia but can’t see why not ?
sont know if that’s really prostitution, all seems blurred to me.
pity we’re no longer as sophisticated :(
