Nope, was born at the start of the 90s and this couldn’t apply less to me.

I sometimes wish I could go to bed that early, but the further away from midnight I go to bed, the less likely I am to actually get any sleep at all for some reason. I need to actually be tired to go to bed otherwise I just end up getting more awake, counterproductively

On the flip side most average people seem to be able to wake up at 6am easily, which to be should be against the Geneva convention

For me it’s got nothing to do with being able to. One of my dogs needs a wee latest by 6 am, and I can assure you I have not been consulted about this schedule. The other dog happily sleeps to 8 am if given the opportunity.

Agreed. We should restructure society to start around 10 am instead.

Laughs in going to bed at 3am in my late 30s

Yea, a 26 year old can’t stay up past 9?

I couldn’t fall asleep before midnight at that age.

Can confirm: am over 35 and if I stay up later than that I start to get cranky and sour about kids these days with their insistence on trying, instead of doing or doing not. Ugh!

For me the boundary is midnight. Once the clock passes the double twelve, my body starts its shutdown sequence. I get tired and panicky thoughts like “wtf am I doing, the kids will wake me up in 6 hours” start to ruin whatever I’m doing.

As someone nearing the age of 40, no. I stay up late sometimes only sleeping about 3 to 4 hours. My normal sleep is from 3am to 12 pm. So that generalization is way off.

Same here. Though usually it’s not by choice.

I definitely get more tired than I used to

Nine hours of sleep daily at 39? That sounds amazing.

You mourning people kill me. It’s 2am here right now. I’m just to the point of tears level pain from lying in one spot too long. I’ll be asleep by 3 and up again by 7, 9 if I’m lucky.

You get an upvote for the use of “mourning”. Haha
