    Fred and his best friend, Barney Rubble, participated in the Bedrock Wars, where they and other soldiers were deceived by the conqueror, Mordok the Destroyer, into committing genocide against the Tree People and burning down their home to establish Bedrock. Barney and his wife Betty raised the infant sole survivor of the Tree People as their son, Bamm-Bamm. The “Loyal Order of Water Buffalos Lodge” from the original show is instead depicted as a veterans group the two attend to help them deal with the trauma of the ordeal.

    This is awesome. Picked up the version with all the installments in one book. The art is great, but the story telling and dialogue is fucking amazing. I never would have imagined “The Flintstones” with such depth of character. I’ve burned through half the stories in one night.

  So this is a weird one… I’m seeing in the post details that there’s 8 comments on this post, but none are showing as visible to me.

  I’m also not seeing anything in the modlog for this post… so where are all the comments?

  Did we decide to start fucking shadowbanning on Lemmy or something or is there some other explanation here?
