    it was, but her character brought next to nothing to it, other than being a straightperson, which adam scott’s character was already doing.

    side note: adam scott’s character being the literal only person who didn’t “get” little sebastian makes me grin to this day when I think of it. even ron would go gaga

      Rashida was in the very first episode, Adam Scott didn’t show up until season 2 or 3

    Yeah, but the writing and acting was well done enough, that even if at the time you could separate it and make a pros cons list and tally it out, it still wouldn’t have felt right because Jim was so obviously in love with Pam and not her.

  I think her role in the office was good. It kept the absurdity grounded with the realism.
