What’s crazy is seeing a feddit.uk buying french old el paso, probably from the local “carrouf” or leclerc.

At least they are “without conservatives”, unlike our current political context.

They don’t give a shit if we notice it, they know we know and they don’t care.

Not nobody, but but banked on not enough nobody’s noticing to make a damn
And they’re right unfortunately, for every person that calls a company out on these shrinkflation shenanigans, like 10 just keeps on buying

If all the companies that sell a common good at the supermarket shrinkflate, then are you supposed to just not but tortillas? For most, the answer is too sigh and still make burritos or whatever

Literally had this conversation in our house in the past 72 hours about their “Burrito Sized” wraps. (but over here in the US)
We don’t normally buy that brand, but we have in the past and it was all that was avail.
My wife opened it up and was like WTF.

A proper “burrito sized” tortilla needs to be large enough to cover a small baby. Used to go to the restaurant supply store to get the real deal. Starting to think I should just get good at making them from scratch.

I get what you are saying, and totally agree, but I’m not getting any indication from the image?
MrQuallzin@lemmy.world 1 year ago
Yeah, without a side-by-side comparison with another I’m not seeing anything slightly infuriating.

It seems they’ve had millions of the packaging, and are running it out.
Look at the gap between the wrap and the edge of the pack
moody@lemmings.world 1 year ago
I’m not understanding what the issue is. Is it because they’re smaller than they used to be?
That kind of packaging is made pre-printed, and the product is sold by weight, so if they made them smaller, they added more to the package to make up for it.

I find it kind of normal that most products don’t completely fill their packaging, so it wasn’t as obvious to me as it may have been for you. But with that explanation, fuck them indeed.
