- Comment on I just watched the wrong version of Drive (2011), and didn't realize until the last 10 minutes. Any similar stories? 3 weeks ago:
Ok, I am super curious, because I don’t know what version I have seen, or how to identify the other version!

I will say the “8x” with a picture of blades next to it definitely throws me off

In what way exactly? I am not following some of these comments. The thing that irks me is that the companies make these wide screens, and then hide the resolution to try and fool me into thinking it’s a 4K monitor. I actually really want a 4K monitor, and every time, it seems to be someone trying to fool me again. (I know they are available, but I am hoping they come down a bit in price)

I grabbed this from the 4K director’s cut. Maybe it’s just variations in lighting.

My father’s speciality was chicken covered in cream of mushroom soup and baked, served over egg noodles. It was his best dish.

Those are not fish cakes. Those are crab cakes. You can tell by the words “Crab Cakes” on the package.

It’s Fish Cakes. 100%. We got fed these all the time as kids in the 80’s.

This game is such a terrible idea in its entirety, I’m starting to wonder if this is satire.

- Comment on Jean-Claude Van Damme: the muscles from Brussels five best movies 2 months ago:
His highest rated movie seems to be Kung Fu Panda 2 though. Also, i had no idea he had kept making so many movies over the last 10 years! And they are literally all apparently horrendous. What a shame, shame. I watched all of this dudes stuff in the 90s and 2000s, and have vivid memories of sitting extremely awkwardly through the steamy sex scene in Double Impact while watching with my parents.

I think he’s only in about 3 shots in Predator
- Comment on Which are the lesser-known movies that are well worth seeing? 2 months ago:
Volcano (1997) - It is a brilliant 90’s version of a classic 50’s disaster flick. One thing after another, never letting up, and all of so catastrophic as to defy belief; and yet suspension of disbelief is maintained. It is quite possibly the most 90’s movie ever made. The writing is solid, there’s very little cringe, and the practical effects are amazing. This movie would look completely different if made today, and would probably suck.
