Most people have such an unexplored, unrealized, uninformed relationship with beans that I cannot really trust the father’s judgement in this matter. This could be perfectly wholesome bean appreciation that he’s just not equipped to understand and is needlessly pathologising.

I don’t think they are that’s why my uncle who gave talks at OOPSLA was weird about us trying to follow in his footsteps and use reddit and play AOE II. I did eventually learn a little Java though no thanks to him.
