Have made a Dr appointment for tomorrow. Iâve got these weird things which came up on my arms in a few spots in the past couple of weeks. Thought they were ringworm or similar fungal thing, was treating them with OTC topical cream. Was wondering how TF I got it. But the cream didnât work and theyâve flared up hugely as a result of my treatment đłâšď¸ The same thing happened with my feet a couple of years ago; I thought it was tinea, treated it accordingly and the whole situation got instantly massively worse and it turned out to be eczema.

Ikr Iâve never had eczema until the foot thing, and then not at all since.

Heâs prone to psoriasis sometimes, but this is definitely eczema (my sister is allergic to bloody everything and has been her entire life, iâm welllllllllll acquainted with that shit). I suspect it may be because heâs living in ducted heating for the first time in 16 years.

I come out in hives that could be anything from stress to chemical sensitivity to a virus or mast cells.
Be careful if you try cortisone cream - maybe patch test it first before slathering it all over. As I find it just causes redness and stinging for me

got my first round of eczema earlier this year (which i ignored and used the wrong stuff on until i finally saw a GP a few months later for something else), a ridiculous amount of moisturiser every few hours and a little cortisone did the trick

Tinea cream can make eczema worse and vice versa, and the skin breakdown from eczema can mean fungal infections take hold more easily, too. My dr suggested mixing a little of both treatment creams together, if either single treatment wasnât working.
It might be contact dermatitis or something like that - have you been using any new products lately?

I get a similar thing from Allergies. And its been NUTS the last couple of weeks.

Over the last 2 or 3 days Iâve ended up with I think hives or something?
I thought it was something I ate or something to myself but maybe itâs a statewide thing going on at the moment?

Might be stress-related psoriasis. I have that in my hairline and the outside of my elbows, and its a pain to deal with. Cortisone cream works quite well. If the things are scaly patches that flake off leaving a red sore mark. Might be worth raising this with the dr.

I have psoriasis, behind my ears. It rarely comes up on my face but doesnât stick around. Iâve tried so much to treat it, and I really think itâs stress/mental health. So annoying. Been there since I was a kid, but usually migrates every few years slightly.
I have a new cream to try though, so weâll see how that plays out.

Stress does it for me every time. I think the adrenaline surge triggers it for me.

Thankyou I will.
