Doctors are not gods and all advice should be treated with skepticism, especially when a lot of money is going to be made and ESPECIALLY when your spine is involved.

The best advice Iâve had, from neurosurgeons, I still follow, which was ârestâ, stay in bed
unfortunately I didnât have a long enough consultation to learn how to avoid back pain
that I had to find myself by noting patterns of my behaviour

Got offered a steroid epidural. Chose not to in the end, was mostly better by that point.
