  Arresting drug addicts in the war on drugs is part of how the US ended up with 25% of it’s population imprisoned. End result? Same amount of drugs.

  Criminalizing drug use does literally nothing except lead to the death of democracy.

    Your percentage is off.

    Recent sources put US prison population at ~2 million, with about that much under other supervision conditions.

    US population is at ~342.75 million people.
