Are we all AI by the end of last season?
What a weird show.

I’d forgotten about that.
I always thought it was cut short. Definitely had a few more seasons in it.
They ended a touch late. There didn’t seem to be a planned endgame and they wrapped up quickly and messily.
It was the network that forced them into that tagline if i recall.
We are all AI on this blessed day.

Yeah, the religious overtones have taken center stage in the last seasons. Definity detracting from an otherwise stellar show. And I think they implied that we are.

And IMO the ending was made deliberately trash. At the end they all decide: “We have come a long way and after New Caprica and everything we’ve been through, we’ve learned a lot. So let’s forget all of that and become cave men.” They got fucked by Baltar in New caprica so they want do it again and this time even worse, without an escape. Lol.

It’s hard to get them out entirely when you consider that the original show was heavily based in Mormonism

So much of the show was changed from the original. They could have definitely taken out all the religious overtones.
