Given that he does photos for 10 brides a day and still has free time, he must’ve been upfront about it.
- Comment on ‘I was a multimillionaire, I had a beautiful girlfriend, I was unhappy’: the ups and downs of a supertrader 4 weeks ago:
The share price does reflect the worth of the company in that a low share price will prevent companies from taking on loans to expand or keep operating. That was the whole idea behind the GameStop shorting saga. Also, the share price also benefits those that hold a majority of the shares. Musk is the richest man on earth because he holds the most Tesla shares. He can use the fact he owns these shares in order to take out loans with great conditions and to buy influence.
- Comment on ‘I was a multimillionaire, I had a beautiful girlfriend, I was unhappy’: the ups and downs of a supertrader 4 weeks ago:
You may not pay the company when you buy shares from another trader, but you buying the shares drives the price of the shares and with that it makes the company more valuable.
- Comment on It's Anon's birthday 4 weeks ago:
Or he said it because he was done waiting for his next pay check.

But given Anon knew what Win 10 is and the father obviously did not, my guess is that the father clicked on the ‘upgrade now!’ panel Microsoft used to pester Win 7 and Win 8 users with.

- Comment on Grrr why is it censored 2 months ago:
I doubt it. I don’t think Snowden can allow himself to use social media much.
- Comment on Grrr why is it censored 2 months ago:
I like the conspiracy theory that the MCDonalds worker doesn’t exist and is just a front to hide illegal government surveilance, the likes Snowden warned about. I hope Snowden is well, all things considered. That man deserves peace of mind, hard to come by when you’re stuck in Russia.

I didn’t understand the meme you responded to to be exclusively talking about piracy.

I’m not saying that the scarcity of digital goods isn’t bullshit, but it’s rarely what keeps people poor.

Wait, wasn’t the whole point of climate change that we use more resources than the ecosystem can replenish?
- Comment on Thieves caught stealing political yard signs 3 months ago:
All the tracker does (to my knowledge) is sending out a Bluetooth signal every Bluetooth-capable device that has
been backdooredthe appropriate software running and Bluetooth enabled, which is at least all IPhones, as well as many Android smartphones, will pick up those Bluetooth signals, calculate the rough distance based on the delay, and then send the rough location to the Apple servers. The Airtag itself does not calculate anything. - Comment on Starfish memory 4 months ago:
I wonder if you remind your child of a specific memory they made daily, if they will remember that moment till their adult life.

I bet you could argue in court that the EULA is null and void, because you can’t be reasonably expected to copy that link into a browser to read it

but this specific case, I don’t know it was possible for her to be the raper. In my mind, even if you lack the means to commit a crime, you still wanted to commit that crime and you tried to commit that crime.

In Germany, vacation days expire as well (past a cetrain amount), but the employer is forced by law to force you to take your vacation days.

Eh, what is he supposed to do then? Creep around until she clocks out? Just give her the space and agency to disengage. Give her your number on a piece of paper. And don’t make it awkward if she doesn’t respond.
- Comment on Why do hacked channels on youtube always post Tesla/SpaceX stuff? 7 months ago:
You’ll find that most Tesla/SpaceX hacked channels promote shitcoins or some form of “You send me 10 Bitcoin and I’ll send you 20 back” scam. This is because Elon himself is promoting or has promoted dubious coins as well (i.e. Dodgecoin). I think Elon stans are just the perfect blend of tech hypers and technologically illiterate people that would most likely be unable to differentiate between “legitimate” Elon promotion and those scams.
- Comment on Anon's coworker is a flat-earther 7 months ago:
On the one hand, yeah. Worrying about stuff that you have barely any control over won’t get you far. But on the other hand, that guy’s vote counts as much as yours. And if he already believes such silly conspiracy theories as the flat earth theory, he will be easily swayed by whoever is the loudest contrarian.
- Comment on Stay Mad 7 months ago:
I think the real upsetting thing isn’t Biden’s performance, or havong Biden as president four more years. He achieved quite a bit after all. The real upsetting thing is the DNC being such cunts that they even pushed for this debate, hoping that Biden could win, only to deny and ignore Biden’s abhorrent performance immediately after. That Bernie got shafted twice by them, that is the really upsetting part.

- Comment on The heart we can't neglect indeed 7 months ago:
If this is real and not just staged, i really like the implication that people receptive to this kind of messaging have been gaslit by troll campaigns into holding views that run counter to their own interest.
I think anyone paying attention already suspected as much, but with many of those troll farms now switching to ChatGPT, again, if this is real, it highlights how we now can get undeniable proof of this farming happening.
