Wizard_Pope@lemmy.world 1 week agoDoubt it is. Only the queen ant has sex afaik and I think they do it somewhere else but even if they do it on the ground it’s like a once in a lifetime thing for them so the amount of ant sex being had in the grass is probably close to zero.

Yes they do it either in the air while flying or in the nest (rarely).
