  Look how long it took Team Cherry to make Silksong, and look what we got for it. Maybe this is a sign that ES6 will be a masterpiece and won’t be a buggy mess propped up by a rampant modding community willing to put in the work to fix it all.

    The incentive structure is wildly different between the two.

    Team Cherry is a small team of passionate developers. Bethesda has grown into a corporate monstrosity that drains developers of their passion to push out slop.

    … look, I know they’ll eventually release ES6. The problem is the people expecting it to live up to ANY hype when NONE of the previous games have EVER been great on their own without mods…

      3 4 and 5 are all great without mods, haven’t played the earlier ones

      I have low expectations for 6 but I want them to get it out of the pipe so 7 can be good

      Really we should be getting hype for 8 or 9 by now :(
