  A big part of what makes it work on reddit is the large number of historians willing to provide lengthy well cited answers. Lemmy doesn’t have that.

  Unfortunately not everything that works there works here. I’ve started a few different communities on a few different accounts and the only ones that take off are the ones I haven’t tried to force, they just sort of naturally drew people and ran themselves.

  I hope I’m wrong though and askhistorians takes off. It would be fun to have here.

  Glad to see it. I’ve been very frustrated with Netflix refusing to release physical media for many of their properties.

  Transformers in 4k is awesome, but I’ll wait for a price drop. $50 feels too steep.

  Frustrating to get an ad popup over the list making it unreadable, with no obvious way to dismiss it.

  Sites behave like this and then get mad about ad blockers.

  I…never knew this was a real thing.

  I don’t think there is any easy way out besides going to the same backup place and hoping they’ll remember your preference.

  3 4 and 5 are all great without mods, haven’t played the earlier ones

  I have low expectations for 6 but I want them to get it out of the pipe so 7 can be good

  Really we should be getting hype for 8 or 9 by now :(

  Besides that I would say Genshin is probably your best bet.
