Here’s a video from MVG from two weeks ago talking about it.
I’ve seen some decompiles of things like Mario 64, but nothing recently or involving AI
I’m usually pretty informed on gaming stuff, and despite disliking AI listen to a few AI podcasts. I haven’t seen a thing. Looks like I need to update my feeds.

The VR modding scene is crazy right now. A new flat to VR mod drops every other day now which was more like a monthly occurence at best. A lot of them are vibecoded messes but the amount of worthwhile ports is more than one would think. I still hate AI. Just because it now kinda works for specific tasks doesnt do away all the other negative aspects. But i take some new vidya in an otherwise dead market segment while everything burns to the ground.

It’s only ethical that now people use AI to “free” closed stuff.

If you go to a few of the sites of the makers of those original decompiles they usually have a bit on there about all the AI usage (they don’t like it)
This one comes to mind readonlymemo.com/decompilation-projects-and-n64-r…
