The joke is on you, the username is publicly visible (so you don’t need to ask) and Lemmy automatically censors your password if you try to post it in plain text. This is actually bothersome if it’s a dictionary word, for example my password is ******** but everytime I try to write a sentence with it, like “I love it when you ******** me”, it gets posted with *s like I love it when you ******** me 😩
