From my work in retail, the box appears to be a typical corrugated cardboard food crate (usually used for some produce and bakery foods, but some other categories as well), and if that’s true, that’s probably some kind of food. Judging by what can be seen of the consistency, I think it might be some yogurt, pudding, buttercream, or something in that vein. So sticky, but prolly not harmful.
