Having a preference for A over B is not the same thing as hating B.

On October 23rd, 2017, [Twitter] user @BravoCoolee made a post that read, “Twitter the only place where well-articulated sentences still get misinterpreted. You can say “I like pancakes” and somebody will say “So you hate waffles?” No bitch. Dats a whole new sentence. Wtf is you talkin about.”
RaoulDook@lemmy.world 2 months ago
Sadly the twitter is not the only place that happens. It’s everywhere

no, but considering the types of females that have no hair down there tend to be prepubecent (or have alopecia,) or the women who are concerned about early detection of STI’s, it does imply a kind of coding about the men who prefer it, rather than having no preference.

Females and men.

I was about to agree with you but I reread it. Women is used as well, and the sentence that uses females is about their biology not choice.
Still not accepting the argument about the implication on men’s coding though.

There was no need to use “females” at all in that sentence structure.

It’s supported farther down as a indicator that the man sees women as equating to children, or sees the woman as permisuous. I promise you that in either case, i’m calling out mysogyny.

If you watched the video, she is very specifically talking about men who are commenting about women’s body hair publicly.
You can have a preference without telling random women they should shave because it’s your personal preference.
I have a preference for trimmed or hairy, but I don’t tell people that they must quit shaving because I find it more attractive.

How did you watch a video? I only see an un-attributed blurry screenshot.

OP linked it in a comment when they first posted and encouraged people to watch it:

wait I genuinely thought she was talking about president bush and I tried making a joke lmao
velma@sh.itjust.works 2 months ago
Maybe I’m the weird one for always reading all of the comments in a post haha. OP posted the video in a comment and it was immediately clear that this lady was talking about men judging women’s body hair publicly.
The Bush jokes seemed like low hanging fruit that no one could resist.

Who the heck calls body hair bush is my question then?!
